 Background:

The role is responsible for handling storekeeping activities for ensuring proper storage, handling, issuance and maintenance of tools, equipment, and other aircraft related materials. Furthermore, the role requires timely documentation, information relay and reporting in accordance to the client airlines, airport and departmental SOP and QHSE norms & standards.

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure recording, reporting and fulfilling other requirements pertaining to the storage, handling, issuance, receipt, maintenance, calibration and shelf life control of all stored parts, tools, equipment and materials.
  • Issuing stock as requested on work order registered in MAXIMO against stock levels on hand; ensure records of incoming & outgoing stock against shipping or other unusual orders
  • Ensure regular inventory check is done at end of shift ensuring no equipment/tools are left behind
  • Monitor calibrated tools/ equipment, shelf life of stock items, non-moving items / obsolete items and report to supervisor for appropriate action.
  • Monitor special stock items requiring special treatment, including items with susceptibility to spontaneous combustion, toxicity, fragility, rapid deterioration, contamination, or ease of physical damage.
  • Obtain appropriate signatures on issue register; conducts cyclic, special and other inventories of bin & bulk stock, solve technical issues in guidance & coordination with relevant teams
  • Recommend effective approach with respect to substitution, interchange of special items, items of questionable serviceability, establishment of minimum & maximum stock levels, and modification and adaptation of guides for effective handling and storing of supplies.
  • Ensure precautions against fire, theft and other natural calamities as per SOP; maintain proper estimated amounts of supplies needed for replenishment and ensure loaned equipment/material is returned
  • Maintain availability of cleaning materials, supplies and equipment to ensure sanitization & safety standards as per company.
  • Safeguard all materials under store custody, and ensure prevention of loss, damage, spoilage, theft, etc.
  • Promptly address improper, incorrect, and/or unsafe actions, identify potential hazards/risks and ensure timely report to the management
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by line manager

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • University Degree  in related field
  • Minimum 2 years of similar experience in technical stores preferably in the Airline Industry
  • Knowledge of inventory software, material and storage procedures
  • Basic knowledge of oral & written English and other indicated language 
  • Basic Computer skills and knowledge of related job applications
