 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Follow all Utility across 3 shifts a day and 7 days a week to meet all requirements of the safety, production and office works.
  • Hold the responsibility for utility activities and ensure that the related departments are operating in line with the set objectives.
  • Follow up and make sure that any necessary measurements and checks are carried out.
  • Ensure that the company’s machinery and equipment and properties are protected
  • Troubleshooting and carrying out repairs on Utilities equipment’s with the aim of reducing factory downtime.
  • Carry out planned maintenance on utilities equipment's (ex. vacuum pumps, compressors, generators, HV /MV / LV panels and Voltage Stabilizers, Firefighting station, chillers, AHUs and etc.).
  • Coaching and supervising new electrical technicians and those on industrial attachment and also operators on electrical operations and safety.
  • To ensure machine downtime logs are accurate and both periodic and preventive maintenance are well planned and coordinated, and follow –up with the contractor during implementing the major/annual service.
  • Translate EH&S goals into actionable targets and motivates others to achieve.
  • Participate in weekly meetings and follow up on actions arising from the meetings.
  • Actively participate in Gap analysis and troubleshooting by using problem solving and improvement tools.
  • Assist on the Factory improvement projects and machine installation.
  • Prepare a weekly report of the unit’s condition and service requirement.
  • Assist the other departments particularly to Project Manager with planning and executing of all types of projects.
  • Ensure that team members are properly trained for the work assigned to them
  • Ensure that safety procedures are understood and strictly followed
  • Ensure that all external resources who will be working in the facility activities are well aware and trained about BAT EHS standards and their activities comply with it.
  • Adhere to the clean desk policy used by BAT.
  • Comply with HR systems, policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Records Management policy.
  • Implement risk assessment suggestions
  • Ensure to take all preventive and corrective actions in order to always comply with all legislations in the area of responsibility.
  • Manage the systems under your control in such a way that all systems are available as and when required by the factory.
  • Manage the systems under your control in such a way that the possibility of faults or failures is minimized and recognized in advance.
  • Ensure that all team members are properly trained for the work assigned to them
  • Ensure that safety procedures are understood and strictly followed
  • Adhere to the clean desk policy used by BAT.
  • Define cleaning procedures for the area under your control and ensure that
  • Keep System Manuals, system procedures and operations procedures in place
  • Keep Reporting systems be in place with control mechanism (inputs, outputs and trends).

 

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

*Minimum Qualification :

  • BSC degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).

*Skills and Experience Required :

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar industrial environment               
  • High level of communication external parties.    
  • Ability to work under pressure and long hours.                                  
  • Knowledge of MS word, Excel ,PowerPoint  and Acess software.
  • English both written and spoken.
  • Team Management Skills.
