Background: ROLE PURPOSE:: Plan International is an independent child rights and humanitarian organisation committed to children living a life free of poverty, violence and injustice. The Grants Accountant coordinates grants management, financial reporting and contract matters to ensure timely and effective implementation of project activities. To reinforce capacities of implementing local partners in the Program areas of budgeting, accounting and treasury and financial reporting, internal financial controls and auditing. H/She ensures conformity with grants reporting requirements and the stringent compliance through on-site review and validation of implementing partner’s expenses and reconciliation within standards established by grants regulation in agreement with Plan International Sudan for the implementation of these projects. |

Approved Country office grants budgets to adequately meet proposed assignment delivery
Accurately analysed grants financial reports to ensure compliance to accounting standards and best practice
Capacity building of partners / sub-grantees to ensure compliance to set out procedures and requirements of donor funding projects
Internal Financial control on grants funding to established policies and procedures
