Cooperazione Internazionale (COOPI) is an international Italian NGO established in 1965. Since its establishment, COOPI has been undertaking activities to help and empower the poor and needy in different countries. COOPI Sudan started its operation in 2004 and has been primarily implementing emergency, relief and early recovery programs in water hygiene and sanitation, food security and livelihood, nutrition and protection sectors.

COOPI is currently implementing projects in North Darfur, Kassala, Gedaref and Khartoum State.

COOPI is looking for qualified and motivated young Sudanese to work as a “Cashier & Filing Assistant”. This position is based in Khartoum.


 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Check all payments request and supporting documents before proceeding with payment
  • Control invoices, approvals, and supporting documents in respect of COOPI’s procedures
  • Make cash and bank payments related to COOPI’s office in Khartoum
  • Pay and clear working advances taken by staff members
  • Perform a daily cash count and cash statement
  • Liaise with field offices to make payments from Khartoum
  • File accounting documents in respect of COOPI’s procedures
  • Assist the Accountant upon request
  • Register and treat information with confidentiality and accuracy
  • Translate documents when needed
  • Maintain good relationships with employees, bank representatives and other stakeholders
  • The staff member may be asked to perform duties and tasks not covered in his or her job description upon request and when necessary


 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:


Qualification and Experience

  • University degree in accounting, business administration, or similar field
  • A minimum of one year of relevant working experience in a similar position, preferably with a National NGO or International NGOs in a similar position
  • Experience in cash management is a strong advantage
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, attention to details, negotiation and organizational skills
  • Proven capacity to work in a team is essential
  • Good command ofArabic and English language
  • Computer literate, with excellent command of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
