 Duties and responsibilities:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

  • Responsible of receiving IT equipment procured in Khartoum Liaising with Khartoum ICT section ( IT, Administration and Change department ), setup and preparation with full documentation.
  • Technical supervision and coordination of the use of all IT equipment, items programs, systems etc in  Khartoum  office and filed offices
  • Responsible for administration of the Local Area Network (LAN),
  • Evaluate computer equipment, planning of hardware needs.
  •  Act as a technical advisor on the use of proper hardware and selection of software for program use.
  • Ensure related compliance requirements are addressed, e.g., privacy, security, and administrative regulations associated with federal and state laws.

Ensure appropriate risk mitigation and control processes for security incidents as required


Procurement should be centralized as the ICT equipment must be standard (specifications and features )

  • Document and disseminate information security policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of a University-wide information security training and awareness program.

·         Coordinate a response to actual or suspected breaches in the confidentiality, integrity or availability of information assets.

  • Produce IT Monthly Reports, Maintenance Tracking and Trip Reports.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all IT equipment in  Khartoum  office and ensure all equipment are efficiently functioning at all times.
  • Responsible for installing internet networks and  ensuring continuous maintenance and up keeping.

Liaison with IT service providers, supervise and coordinate the use and billing of all IT equipment/service in an accurate and timely manner 

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor Degree in Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant degree / Master degree is preferable.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • At least 3 years previous work experience preferably with NGOs and any similar institutions
  • Advocacy, campaigning, and documentation skills
  • Strong planning, monitoring and evaluation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team
  • Knowledge in VSAT systems and installation. ( & other satalite solutions )
  • Good computer skills in MS packages (Computer Applications; word, excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Fluency in English and Arabic Written and Spoken
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and operating systems
  • Knowledge in operating most ICT and office equipment
  • Knowledge in cybersecurity and data security.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels, taking into account cultural and language difficulties.  Tact and diplomacy are essential
  • The ability to work closely in a team, patience, adaptable, flexible, ability to improvise and work in an environment that is often stressful and potentially volatile
  • Willingness to travel regularly and in difficult circumstances

Sensitive to issues affecting children and committed to Save the Children Child Safeguarding

Desireable

  • CCNP or and Security+ certificates
