Background: The USAID-funded MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience (MIHR) project is led by IMA World Health in partnership with JSI Research & Training, Inc. (JSI), Pathfinder International, CARE, and GOAL. In February 2021, USAID provided a program description for a service delivery intervention focused on increased resilience and preparedness of health systems in Sudan. CARE will be the country lead for the project, which is anticipated to support activities in 1-2 states in the Darfur region.
The project is pending approval from USAID to begin work in March/April 2021 and is now beginning a start-up phase including scoping, work planning and recruitment of staff. The consultant will fill the role of interim Chief of Party (COP) responsible for in-country day-to-day responsibilities during this initial phase to facilitate scoping, work planning, and other start-up activities.
Objectives To provide operational guidance and in-country strategic direction to the MIHR Sudan program during the start-up period.
