Elruhama Organization for Development and Humanitarian Aid is a national nongovernmental organization, and humanitarian organization committed to livelihood and food security, education, health, nutrition, peace building, protection, NFI, water sanitation and hygiene through HQ and field offices in South Darfur State, East Darfur State, Central Darfur State, North Darfur State, South Kordofan State, east Kordofan State and White Nile State.  


Elruhama is looking for a Finance Officer to take charge of the financial documents by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements. You should be familiar with audits, invoices and budget preparations. Our ideal candidate demonstrates interest in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks in addition to that ultimately; you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures.

 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare balance sheets
  • Process invoices
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Update internal systems with financial data
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Participate in financial audits
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Providing  and interpreting financial information
  • Analyzing change and advising accordingly
  • Researching and reporting on factors influencing organization performance
  • Producing accurate financial reports to specifics deadlines
  • Arranging new sources of finance for an organization facilities
  • Supervising staff
  • Keep abreast changes in financial regulation and legislation  
  • Conduct or audits for logistics activities such as storages, distribution or transportation
  • Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends
  • Implement or monitor management accounting or audit systems  
  •  any other task that the line manager considers

 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Education: BSC degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

Experience: Three years professional experience in relevant and similar position in an environment work

Desirable: Working experience in an NGO

Languages: Essential fluent written and spoken English and Arabic 

Computer: Essential proficient user of MS office especially



  • Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures

  • Knowledge of financial regulations
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Sharp time management skills
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
