Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Law, Political Sciences, Public Relations, or other related fields. A first level university degree in combination with two years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience: A minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible experience in a similar or related position, including relevant protocol external relations or public information experience, is required.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the host government is required.
Experience working to support a United Nations common system field operation (inclusive of peacekeeping, political missions and UN agencies, funds and programmes), or a comparable international organization is desirable.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience organizing large events or conferences is desirable.
Experience in United Nations Agencies, Funds and Programs or comparable international organization is desirable.
Languages: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English and Arabic is required.
