Background: The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and Danish Demining Group (DDG) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1956 that works in more than 30 countries throughout the world, including South Sudan. DRC/DDG fulfils its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations, including refugees, internally displaced people and host communities. Under its mandate, the organization focuses on emergency humanitarian response, rehabilitation, post-conflict recovery and humanitarian mine-action. DRC/DDG commenced work in South Sudan, formerly Southern Sudan, in 2005 and currently provides expertise in camp management, community services, protection, food security and livelihoods and the provision of emergency shelter and NFIs in Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Unity and Upper Nile states

Duties and responsibilities: The MEAL Officer - Accountability will work closely with the MEAL Manager and other MEAL team members and contribute the development of a robust system to promote Accountability to Affected Populations in Sudan, while supporting the day-to-day monitoring & evaluation components of their main base. Day-to-day MEAL activities will include training enumerators and overseeing post distribution monitoring, hosting quarterly learning processes with office staff, and reporting the results MEAL activities to the MEAL manager and program team. In addition, the MEAL Officer – Accountability will travel to other bases in order to assess DRC’s progress on its commitments to Core Humanitarian Standards. These activities will include rolling out and assessing the feedback and complaints response mechanism (F-CRM), conducting focus groups with affected populations, documenting inputs from other MEAL staff to create guidance promoting more accountable and participating programmes, and managing the Central Darfur FCRM Database Responsibilities:
