International Medical Corps, an international humanitarian organization is looking for qualified people to fill the new position of Program Manager- COVID-19
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/SCOPE OF WORK: (Essential functions, quality/quantity expected list of marginal duties and number of national/and or expat staff supervised)

|
Duties and responsibilities:
Support health, WASH and nutrition activities within the context of COVID-19 response
-
Actively support the development of work plans and ensuring that COVID-19 response project activities are implemented as planned
-
Provide technical assistance to IMC program team and clinic staff to implement planned activities in a technical and appropriate manner and in accordance to established MOH and IMC guidelines
-
Follow up on planned procurements related to COVID-19 response and ensure that procured items are distributed and used in accordance to the needs and requirements of the project
-
Support the SMOH to plan and task force /Rapid Response Team (RRT) activities to achieve the desired results
-
Liaise with and support SMOH, WHO and other members of the COVID-19 Task force to ensure that they conduct meetings as is planned
-
Provide technical support on epidemiologic and public health interventions and fill any gaps that maybe identified at the SMOH to ensure effective implementation of COVID-19 response and other emergencies

Actively oversee and monitor the COVID 19 project activities implementation in collaboration with the medical coordinator and project officers based on the work plan with its timeline

Ensure that all relevant data is collected and reports produced to document COVID-19 response activities
-
Ensure quality of services provided is up to set standards in accordance to SMOH and IMC standards
-
Provide support to the Project officers on the project implementation and monitoring
-
Prepare monthly plan, implement and report based on the work plan of the projects
-
Ensure all reports are submitted regularly to IMC and SMOH based on requirements
-
Identify staff’s training needs and prepare training plans accordingly.
-
Write and submit program progress reports to the medical coordinator and SMOH as is required.

Ensure the supply of PPE and IPC materials to all the IMC supported health facilities and actively check on proper usage by staff
-
Conduct on-job trainings for clinic staff as required and based on identified needs.
Supervision, coordination and community-based surveillance activities towards COVID-19 response
-
Conduct monthly meetings and supervision visits at sites and field levels.

Represent IMC in the state for COVID-19 response and other health related meetings as maybe required
-
Update MOH about the COVID 19 activities and zero reporting in addition to the EWAN (Weekly)
-
Ensure the facility based and surveillance activities are established and functional in all IMC designated localities / catchment areas
Other tasks and responsibilities in relation to COVID-19 response within IMC health, WASH and nutrition activities

Review M&E reports (Weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting activities)
-
Provide weekly update to the medical coordinator about the implementation of project activities
-
Provide necessary and appropriate technical assistance, support and prepare reports as is required.

Actively participate in any assessments, surveys including data collection, analysis and report writing as might be required.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
-
Bachelor degree in public health or any other relevant field. Any advanced qualifications related to public health, epidemiology, data management and analysis will be added advantage.

Minimum 2-3 years’ project management experience with either national or international NGO.

At least 2 years’ experience working on diseases surveillance programs and management of diseases outbreaks within the country

Good understanding and knowledge about COVID-19 response nationally and globally.

Computer literate and able to collect data and write appropriate reports in English language.

Ability to work independently with different stakeholders to achieve quick results,
