Chemonics International is hiring for a new USAID program that aims to support civil society organizations and independent media to advance key transition priorities. The implementation of this program requires a highly integrated and dynamic team approach to creative, coordinated, and effective program implementation in order to meet the program’s objectives.

 Duties and responsibilities:

The IO conducts research and analysis as directed by senior management, utilizing a range of research methods, to inform program activities, project leadership, USAID, and other external stakeholders. The IO will provides written overviews, summaries, and analysis of project activities and initiatives to inform external audiences as well as providing regular updates summarizing political and other events in Sudan as they pertain to and may impact project activities and strategy.


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least three years of experience in research, journalism, or related field, with a focus on social science analysis and reporting and analyzing social and political events in Sudan;
  • BA required and MA in a relevant subject area preferred;
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic required
