Chemonics International is hiring for a new USAID program that aims to support civil society organizations and independent media to advance key transition priorities. The implementation of this program requires a highly integrated and dynamic team approach to creative, coordinated, and effective program implementation in order to meet the program’s objectives.

 Duties and responsibilities:

The PDO will report to the SPDM and will be responsible for conceptualizing potential activities and developing grants and technical assistance activities for carefully selected organizations. The PDO will also monitor political, social, and economic development to inform program strategy and activity development as well as provide technical input and oversight during activity implementation to ensure the activity adheres to its objectives.
 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least 3 years of experience in design, development, and management of donor-funded projects at the community level;
  • Strong relationship-building, monitoring and evaluation, and report writing skills;
  • Thorough understanding of political context and ability to think creatively in conceptualizing relevant grant activities;
  • Fluent Arabic and strong English language skills required.
