Chemonics International is hiring for a new USAID program that aims to support civil society organizations and independent media to advance key transition priorities. The implementation of this program requires a highly integrated and dynamic team approach to creative, coordinated, and effective program implementation in order to meet the program’s objectives.

 Duties and responsibilities:

The Procurement Manager will report to the Operations Manager and work directly with local, regional or international vendors and service providers to obtain quotations and/or initiate procurements of requested commodities and services. Additionally, the manager will monitor contracts and purchase orders issued to vendors and follow up as necessary to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least 5 years of experience in relief, development assistance, and/or the procurement of goods and services
  • Fluent Arabic and strong English language skills required
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and great attention to detail
  • Capable of quickly performing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience working on international donor-funded programs preferred
