Duties and responsibilities:
The Communications and Reporting Officer coordinates closely with DT Global senior management and program staff to monitor program implementation, capture program achievements, document outcomes, and draft program reports as directed by the COP and under his day to day supervision will be responsible for the following:-

Lead the production of reports regarding program statuses and impact evaluations, this includes but is not limited to: information sheets, success stories, press releases, weekly, quarterly and annual reports

Manage TEPS programs’ grant documentation efforts using its database of activities

Contribute to monitoring and evaluation, conduct field visits, and participate in rolling assessments of program activities and program objectives

Assist in training program staff with writing and editing grant-related documents as well as activity justifications.

Ensure proper documentation of activities, success stories and preparation of press releases

Regularly monitoring and documenting program activities to provide insight by, but not limited to: taking photographs and videos, conducting interviews with program beneficiaries, submitting narrative summaries of grant activities, success stories

Support the senior management in coordinating the arrangements of the meeting, attendance and taking minutes and typing up in a clear and concise manner including meeting with USAID and any other partners as requested

Develop branding initiatives, internal communications and external media relations

Serve as a technical resource on media outreach and media-related program grants

Develops relationships with local media outlets, think tanks, and other organizations developing cutting edge information products and using new technology and social media

Travel to the field and regional offices to attend grant events in order to capture outputs and outcomes so as to assist in monitoring and evaluation activities

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
-
A Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications or related field is required.

Demonstrated experience in project and activity monitoring, report writing and excellent written and oral communication skills.

At least 2-4 years of professional experience in international development
-
Flexibility and ability to work in fast paced environment highly desirable.

Knowledge of and experience with GIS mapping is preferred but not required.

Proven experience producing communications on donor-funded grants programs and/or for international development organizations; it is highly desirable that this include experience in community resilience, public consultations, democratic reform, and countering violent extremism programming.

Proven experience working on programs requiring community-level engagement, particularly with civil society organizations.

Experience with making short videos, communication strategies, and managing public social media accounts.

Demonstrated oral and written fluency in Arabic and English is required; a written and oral test will be administered to assess English capabilities.

Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office, including Access and Excel, and web-based information management tools required.

Experience working in Sudan with willingness to travel outside of Khartoum highly desirable.
