Duties and responsibilities:
1.Technical Design, Project Planning, Implementation and coordination for South Darfur States. - Coordinate to acquire up to date data for use in project designs.
- Lead in the design of project proposals.
- Establish, direct and maintain standards for health programs and ensure that project staff, partner agencies and recipient communities understand and adhere to these standards.
- East Darfur Program in identifying potential health and nutrition projects in the assigned geographical area
- Lead in assisting project coordinators in preparation of DIP, cash flow, procurement plan, M&E plan and ITT to ease the implementation process.
- Lead in Identification of areas of implementation areas like PHC interventions in the Health, are appropriate, and the resources required to provide them, at each site.
- Direct the specialized input into the planning and implementation of all interventions to be carried out.
- Lead in undertaking assessment and survey in a timely manner
- Identify project problems and assist in developing appropriate responses to address these problems.
- Guide and work closely with implementing national partners to achieve an excellent project results.
2.Coordination, Networking, and Donor Relations - Lead the Coordination between World Vision and local partnering NGO joint project monitoring meetings at field level - prepare draft agenda for the joint project monitoring meetings.
- Lead the recording of the minutes of the joint project monitoring meeting notes on issues discussed, conclusions drawn, and action plans agreed and follow up on the implementation of the action plans agreed during the meeting
- Guide in conjunction with East Darfur Program concerned staff; local line ministries; and community beneficiaries ensure the sustainability of the project.
- Coordinate and liaise with local partnering NGOs to ensure smooth implementation of the project activities, effective operation, management, and appraisal of project staff.
- Coordinate and ensure active community involvement and participation in project implementation.
- Lead the donor site visits in collaboration with East Darfur concerned staff and local partner NGOs.
3.Quality Assurance - Monitoring, Reporting and Documentation - Lead in the design and implementation of baseline surveys, needs assessments, and impact evaluations as relevant to the sector
- Guide in monitoring program progress to ensure donor compliance and program quality and provide technical advice, support and capacity for Project staff and relevant project sector staff members and partners.
- Direct the program updates as needed to key WV support offices, the Regional Office, donors, partners, and internal progress reports.
- Lead in drafting, monitoring implementation, reporting and signing of technical agreements with line ministries and other Government agencies.
- Guide in maintaining proper documentation and reporting including success stories
- Lead in joint planning and monitoring in close consultation with WASH, Health and Nutrition sectors.
- Guide in the submission of weekly and monthly written reports to program head of office project progress and prepare weekly plan of actions.
- Coordinate closely with M & E department to develop and strengthen planning, monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures
4.Reporting, Monitoring and Learning - Coordinate closely with M & E department to develop and strengthen planning, monitoring, and evaluation procedures
- Coordinate Preparation & development of reports and track those reports (MMR, PIMT, Sitrep, ATT, HAC bi-annual and annual reports and events.
- Lead the maintenance of proper documentation and reporting including success stories
- Coordinate joint planning /preparation done in close consultation with Protection and WASH Sectors in the same location.
- Guide in the Submission of weekly and monthly written reports to program head of office project progress and prepare weekly plan of actions.
5.Financial Management and compliance - Lead in the monitoring of different Project expenditures and recommend appropriate actions.
- Coordinate in proposal writing for program funding and oversee budget preparation and on-going budget management.
- Assure strict budget management and adherence to activity timelines to ensure proper accountability to donors and effective project implementation
6.Human Resource Management - Lead in the recruitment of technical staffs for various projects.
- Coordinate with Sector Managers to implement technical and managerial evaluations and provide technical support to personnel.
- Direct the Building of the capacity of national staff in project design and management, proposal/report writing, budgeting, monitoring and evaluating
- Coordinate and participate in health and nutrition technical staffs appraisals.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
1.Required Professional Experience - At least 7 years of field-based Humanitarian experience in H&N implementation and coordination, with a strong H&N project implementation background and experience working in conflict-prone or fragile contexts.
- Proficiency in project planning, staff training, supportive supervision, report writing and local partner engagement.
- Practical experience in implementing H&N project models, including nutrition promotion, behaviour change, and community-based approaches.
- Experience supporting H&N assessments, proposal development, project reporting, and donor-compliant documentation.
- Experience mainstreaming gender, environment, peacebuilding, disability inclusion, and community accountability in project implementation.
- Experience coordinating with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, donors, private sector actors, and community structures.
2.Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification - Bachelor’s degree in medicine, Nutrition, public health and Nursing or related degrees from accredited university.
- At least 7 years of previous experience in health and Nutrition sector related or multi-sector project design in INGOs.
- Experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
- Excellent English and Arabic language communication skills (oral and written).
- Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina.
- Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local cultural context.
- Computer skills: demonstrates proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes, intranet and internet, and various software applications and databases commonly used in the workspace.
- Understanding of Sudan MoH standards, protocols and guidelines is a requirement.
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Ability to coach, train and building capacity of fellow staff
- Ability to work and deliver results under minimum supervision.
- Experience working in an NGO setting will be an added advantage
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
33.Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications - Proficiency in Ms Word, Outlook, Teans, Zoom and advanced Excel, PowerPoint presentation
- Knowledge and experience in Communication for Development, including community engagement, Training on selected project models such as CMAM, Primary health, IYCF, Nutrition promotion, Project Managment, behaviour change communication, and development of context-appropriate H&N messages.
4.Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement - Very frequent travels to field project sites and ability to live in hard conditions.
- Close interaction with project beneficiaries, partners, and government officials.
5.Language Requirements - Excellent English and Arabic communication skills (oral and written).
