Background: Dan Church Aid is a Danish humanitarian, non-government and non-profit organisation dedicated to helping the world’s poorest. DCA is a registered international NGO in Sudan with a Country Office in Port Sudan. DCA is looking for an experienced Security and Liaison Officer to serve as the primary link between DCA and the Government of Sudan (GoS), particularly the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC). The role is responsible for government liaison, humanitarian access, security coordination and regulatory compliance to support DCA's operations in Sudan. In addition, the position provides operational and logistical support to the Country Office by coordinating local service providers, facilitating office logistical arrangements, maintaining effective relationships with suppliers and vendors, and supporting the smooth implementation of administrative and operational activities. Note: This position will be based in port Sudan but once HAC federal moves to Khartoum then the position will be relocated to Khartoum even prior to the full transitioning of port Sudan office.
As Liaison Officer, be the primary link between DCA and the Government of Sudan (GoS), particularly the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC). This role is critical for all government related coordination and includes issuance of entry visas, work permits, securing travel permits, technical agreements, recruitment of staff and deconfliction clearances required to deliver life-saving aid to conflict-affected populations.
As Country Security Officer, support the Country Office in the safe and effective implementation of DCA’s activities in Sudan by supporting safe programme delivery in complex and high-risk environments in Sudan. The position provides continuous security oversight, guidance, and monitoring to ensure that staff, assets, and premises are protected in line with DCA policies and best practices. This position will be based in port Sudan but once HAC federal moves to Khartoum, the position will be relocated to Khartoum even prior to the full transitioning of Port Sudan office.
In addition to government liaison and security responsibilities, the Liaison and Security Officer will support the Country Office's operational and logistical functions by coordinating local logistical arrangements, maintaining effective relationships with suppliers, vendors, landlords, transport providers, hotels and other service providers, and facilitating administrative processes that contribute to the efficient implementation of DCA's operations. |

We Offer: A contract for one year, starting in Sep 2026, with a three-month probation period (with possibility of extension based on funding availability and performance).
