Background: Organizational Context SOS Children's Villages Sudan is expanding its humanitarian and development portfolio and is seeking to diversify its funding base through strategic engagement with institutional donors, UN agencies, embassies, foundations, and other development partners. The Institutional Partnerships & Development Coordinator will lead resource mobilization efforts, strengthen strategic partnerships, coordinate proposal development, and position SOS Sudan as a preferred partner for institutional funding.

Duties and responsibilities:
Purpose of the Position The Institutional Partnerships & Development Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing the organization's institutional fundraising and partnership strategy. The position will identify funding opportunities, coordinate proposal development, manage donor relationships, strengthen strategic partnerships, and support business development efforts to expand SOS Sudan's programme portfolio. Key Responsibilities 1. Institutional Resource Mobilization Develop and implement the institutional fundraising strategy. Identify and track funding opportunities from bilateral and multilateral donors, UN agencies, foundations, embassies, and international NGOs. Maintain a donor opportunity pipeline and funding calendar. Coordinate the preparation and submission of high-quality funding proposals. Support diversification of funding sources beyond SOS Member Associations. 2. Partnership Development Build and maintain strategic relationships with donors, UN agencies, INGOs, government institutions, foundations, and private sector partners. Represent SOS Sudan in donor meetings, networking events, and partnership forums. Coordinate partnership agreements and MoUs. Strengthen collaboration with consortium partners and Member Associations. 3. Proposal Development Coordinate the full proposal development process from opportunity identification through submission. Facilitate proposal design workshops. Coordinate technical inputs from programme, finance, operations, HR, MEAL, and supply chain teams. Ensure proposals comply with donor guidelines and organizational standards. Maintain a proposal tracking system. 4. Donor Intelligence & Positioning Conduct donor mapping and market analysis. Monitor humanitarian and development funding trends. Identify emerging strategic opportunities. Produce donor intelligence briefs for senior management. Position SOS Sudan strategically with priority donors. 5. Grants Development Support Support programme teams in concept note development. Coordinate proposal budgets with Finance. Ensure logical frameworks, theories of change, and results frameworks meet donor expectations. Promote innovation and evidence-based programming. 6. External Representation Participate in donor meetings and coordination platforms. Represent SOS Sudan in partnership discussions. Support high-level engagement with embassies, UN agencies, and international organizations. Coordinate donor visits and partnership missions. 7. Knowledge Management Maintain a repository of proposals, donor templates, and partnership documents. Capture lessons learned from successful and unsuccessful proposals. Develop institutional fundraising tools and guidance notes. Share donor updates across the organization. 8. Capacity Building Build staff capacity in proposal writing and donor engagement. Facilitate proposal development training. Strengthen organizational understanding of donor compliance requirements. Mentor programme staff on business development. 9. Reporting & Monitoring Monitor fundraising performance against annual targets. Produce monthly resource mobilization reports. Track proposal success rates. Monitor partnership performance and follow-up actions.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Qualifications - Master's degree in international development, Business Administration, Project Management, Public Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree with substantial relevant experience may be considered.
- Professional certification in proposal development or project management is an advantage.
Experience - Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in institutional fundraising, business development, or partnership management.
- At least 3 years in a coordination or advisory role.
- Demonstrated experience securing funding from institutional donors such as ECHO, EU, BMZ, GIZ, FCDO, Sida, DRA, UN agencies, SHF, USAID, or other international donors.
- Strong experience coordinating multi-sector proposal development.
- Experience in humanitarian and development programming.
- Experience working in fragile or conflict-affected contexts is desirable.
