Duties and responsibilities:
1.Project Planning & Coordination - Lead overall planning and execution of the Food program, ensuring timely delivery of activities in accordance with WFP agreements, SOPs, and project timelines.
- Coordinate closely with WFP field offices, Cooperating Partners (CPs), local authorities, Financial Service Providers (FSPs), vendors, and community structures.
- Ensure smooth collaboration between technical teams (MEAL, Finance, Protection, Logistics) to support integrated program delivery.
- Manage the day-to-day implementation of the Food Programs according to the approved objectives and plan of action.
- Make arrangements for WVS staff to conduct pre distribution meetings to inform the community of the food distribution date.
- Ensure that a minimum required number of WVS staff members are present at the distribution site, and that they wear WVS regalia (ID card and jacket/T-shirt/cap).
- Organize and maintain order at the distribution site with the help of committee members/leaders, and provide regular feedback to the supervisor on activities carried out. Ensure proper stacking by family size to support fair food sharing among group members.
- Establish a system, in consultation with the community and beneficiaries, to minimize wait times at distribution sites. Liaise with CHD focal persons and the Field Coordinator to ensure feedback is provided on CHD issues raised by beneficiaries.
- Coordinate with the Distribution Supervisor to ensure drinking water is available at distribution points.
- Establish the Food Management committee members, in each of the distribution points, and provide orientation training to them with the support of the Distribution Supervisor.
- Complete all People & Culture (P&C) related documents, including Performance Agreements, Our Voice surveys, Performance Appraisals, leave documentation, attendance, etc.
2.Implementation Oversight - Supervise field staff and ensure efficient implementation of cash transfer modalities (e-vouchers, mobile money, SCOPE-based transfers, etc.).
- Oversee beneficiary registration, verification, and targeting processes, ensuring alignment with WFP’s targeting criteria and data protection standards.
- Ensure the functionality of distribution points and accountability mechanisms at all FDPs (Final Distribution Points).

- Organize and facilitate training for field staff, community committees, and partners on CBT tools, AAP, SCOPE, and safeguarding principles.
- Foster a supportive, respectful, and high-performance team culture.
5.Stakeholder Engagement - Represent the organization in coordination meetings with WFP, local authorities, and inter-agency working groups at field level.
- Engage regularly with community leaders, protection actors, and local stakeholders to ensure program acceptance, inclusion, and conflict sensitivity.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
1.Required Experience - Field-based international NGO work experience with a minimum of 3 years total development and emergency experience in Food & Cash assistance Program
- Sound knowledge of humanitarian international standards, policies and procedures including the Red Cross and Red Crescent Code of Conduct, HAP-I Standard, ECB Good Enough Guide, Sphere Standard (Humanitarian Charter and Participation Standard), donor requirements and WV Humanitarian Accountability Framework
- Ability to work in high tension and high security risk situations and be able to adapt to rapidly changing contexts.
- Strong English communication skills (both oral and written).
- Positive collaboration and facilitation skills including the ability to train and supervise a multi-cultural team
- Proven ability to manage complex partnership relationships
- Good cross-cultural communication skill, • Good Knowledge on the Cash Based program requirements
- Field based locations and spend most of the time in the field visiting projects sometimes under difficult living conditions.
- Previous experience coordinating WFP-funded projects or similar donor-funded programs.
- Experience in conflict/post-conflict settings, especially in Sudan, is highly desirable.
2.Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification - Fluency in written and spoken English and ability to speak local languages
- Basic to Intermediate English Spoken and Written;
- Technical Training qualifications required: Professional technical skill desired- especially in the realms of community engagement and project-cycle management • Proven experience in technical surveying, project designing, implementation
- Good knowledge of SPHERE standards.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, Power point and Technical Drawing Packages.
- Experience in community based participatory development approaches strongly desired
- Financial management (Non-Finance mangers.)
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in Relief and Development work
3.Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Agriculture or Social Science
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a related job.
