 Background:

The Information and Reporting Officer ensures timely, accurate, and compliant reporting for all World Vision programs in River Nile. The role is responsible for collecting, verifying, and consolidating field data—especially for GFA, and Nutrition activities—and preparing weekly, monthly, and donor-required reports. The officer maintains program databases, tracks key indicators, and supports accountability and decision-making by providing reliable information to management and WFP.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

1.Data Collection & Management:

  • Accurate, timely, and complete In-kind data collected from the distribution points and program locations. • HMIS and other data systems updated regularly, with minimal errors and well-maintained records. 
  • The reports were submitted to Partner connect on time for the necessary approvals 
  • Data discrepancies identified and resolved promptly, ensuring high-quality and reliable reporting.
  • Consolidated monthly datasets and reports consistently submitted on time to support program decision-making. 
  • Improved data accuracy and availability, contributing to stronger monitoring, reporting, and overall program performance.

2.Data Analysis & Reporting:

 

  • Analyse health data to identify trends, gaps, and performance insights that support program decision making. 
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc reports for internal teams, donors, partners, and government stakeholders. 
  • Develop dashboards and visual data presentations to clearly communicate key health indicators and program results.

 

3.Country Commodity Tracking Systems Implementation

 

  • Lead the rollout and full functionality of the Country Commodity Tracking System (CCTS) for both food and cash assistance, ensuring outputs align with internal WV standards and donor requirements.
  • Generate and consolidate monthly CCTS reports, upload finalized reports to the Disaster Management Database, and ensure timely submission of all donor related commodity reports. 
  • Oversee adherence to warehouse and field-level commodity management standards to ensure accountability and compliance. 
  • Manage the archiving of all commodity documentation, including master distribution lists and detailed distribution records.
  • Produce monthly donor reports and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter monthly distribution data into the Partner Connect system in a timely and accurate manner.

4.Reimbursement from WFP (Invoicing) 

  • Timely submission of complete and accurate monthly invoices to WFP.  Clear tracking and follow-up of donor payments, with regular updates shared with Support Offices. 
  • Accurate reconciliation of monthly income versus projected income, with explanations for any variances. 
  • Strengthened financial transparency and compliance with WFP requirements. • Improved cash flow management to support smooth program implementation.

5.Cash & Commodity Management Compliance 

  • Verify all cash and commodity management field reports to ensure compliance with agreed donor and WV internal standards.
  • Conduct field spot checks to compare physical stock against book balances in distribution points and warehouses.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of the cash distribution and physical counts of stocks in distribution points and warehouse/storerooms.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Required Professional Experience 

  • Field-based international NGO work experience with a minimum of 3 years total development and emergency experience in Food & Cash assistance Program 
  • Ability to work in high tension and high security risk situations and be able to adapt to rapidly changing contexts. • Strong English communication skills (both oral and written). 
  • Positive collaboration and facilitation skills including the ability to train and supervise a multi-cultural team;
  • Proven ability to manage complex partnership relationships  Good cross-cultural communication skill, 
  • Good Knowledge on the Cash Based program requirements 
  • Field based locations and spend most of the time in the field visiting projects sometimes under difficult living conditions.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification 

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and ability to speak local languages 
  • Basic to Intermediate English Spoken and Written; 
  • Technical Training qualifications required: Professional technical skill desired- especially in the realms of community engagement and project cycle management • Strong mathematical and analytical skills  Strong computing skills • Strong problem solving, logistics and analytical skills 
  • Proven experience in technical surveying, project designing, implementation 
  • Good knowledge of SPHERE standards. 
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, Power point and Technical Drawing Packages. 
  • Experience in community based participatory development approaches strongly desired 
  • Financial management (Non-Finance mangers.)  Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in Relief and Development work

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Agriculture or Social Science 
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a related job.

 


This role is based in River Nile, Sudan. The successful candidate is required to operate and work from River Nile.
