 Background:

SRCS is the first voluntary national society working in Sudan, and which works as an  auxiliary body for the state  in the humanitarian work and in a wide geographical range to cover the whole country through its branches (currently 18 branches) in the states.

Purpose of the Position

The PMER Officer will support the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (PMER) functions for Health and Disaster Risk Management (DRM) programmes at SRCS Headquarters. The position will ensure quality planning, monitoring, reporting, learning, and accountability across HQ technical departments and branches.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Planning

  • Support the development of annual plans, project work plans, and logical frameworks.
  • Review project proposals and ensure PMER standards are incorporated.
  • Provide technical support to branches on planning processes.

Monitoring

  • Develop and maintain monitoring plans and indicator tracking tools.
  • Coordinate monitoring visits and ensure data quality.
  • Monitor project progress and recommend corrective actions where needed.

Reporting

  • Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and final reports.
  • Consolidate reports received from branches.
  • Ensure timely submission of quality reports to management and partners.

Evaluation and Learning

  • Support baseline, midline, endline, and final evaluations.
  • Coordinate project reviews and lessons learned workshops.
  • Document and disseminate best practices and recommendations.

Quality Assurance

  • Promote accountability to affected communities (CEA).
  • Support the use of digital data collection and reporting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with SRCS PMER standards and donor requirements.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform any other PMER-related duties assigned by the Head of PMER/IM.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Social Sciences, Disaster Management, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in PMER within humanitarian or development organizations.
  • Strong skills in planning, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Good analytical, communication, and report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital data collection platforms (e.g., KoboToolbox).

Languages

  • Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written).
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
