 Duties and responsibilities:

Job Summary

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is responding to the humanitarian crisis in North Darfur and East Darfur, where large scale displacement has resulted in severe food insecurity, critical water shortages, and acute health and nutrition needs amid access constraints and a complex operating environment. CRS is implementing and scaling lifesaving interventions in food security, water, health, and nutrition, including cash based and in-kind assistance and support to Emergency Response Rooms (ERRs). CRS also actively engages in humanitarian coordination to improve coverage, targeting, and accountability.

 

You will manage, coordinate, and monitor project activities and relationships with partners and other project stakeholders to assist the achievement of the RAPID project objectives advancing Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your project management skills and knowledge of the program area will ensure that the CP delivers high-quality programming and continuously works towards improving the impact of this project.

 

Roles and Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure required documents, data updates, and reports from different health facilities, operational areas, sub-recipients, surveyors, and external suppliers are received and consolidated in a timely manner and in compliance with standard policies and procedures.  
  • Monitor, review, and analyze health data entries in the management information system for accuracy and completeness. 
  • Work in close coordination with relevant program and health facility staff to resolve issues and reconcile data inconsistences. Strengthen health facility staff capacity as required to improve reporting and data use going forward. 
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports pertaining to the status of goods, services and beneficiaries for internal and external project stakeholders, including Ministry of Health
  • Work with project managers to prepare for audits and coordinate the audit process. 

 

 

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Basic Qualifications 

  • Associate degree and/or formal vocational training related field.
  • Minimum of five to seven years work experience in a similar position, preferably in an international organization. 
  • Additional education may substitute for some experience.  

 

 Preferred Qualifications 

  • Professional certification(s) in Health is a plus. 
  • Understanding of Health Information Management Systems 
  • Experience with inventory accounting software and/or other database management systems (e.g. MS Access) is highly desirable. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities  

  • Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). 
  • Knowledge and experience with various public donors’ regulations. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of inventory tracking, accounting and reporting systems, and principles.
  • Very good analytical skills with ability to detect and report inconsistencies 
  • Conscientious, accurate and thorough with great attention to detail 
  • Ethical conduct in accordance with recognized professional and organizational codes of ethics 
  • Proactive, resourceful, solutions-oriented and results-oriented 

 

Required Languages: Arabic is required and local language skills are advantage. English would be a plus. 

 

Travel: Must be willing and able to travel up to 70 % to project locations in Darfur.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: No.
