2. Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring & Evaluation:
Develop and implement MEAL frameworks, systems, and tools aligned with project goals and donor requirements.
Support project teams in the development of log frames, indicators, and performance measurement plans.
Coordinate data collection, analysis, and reporting processes for all ongoing projects.
Ensure high-quality quantitative and qualitative data is collected and used for program improvement.
Develop and maintain project Indicator Performance Tracking Tables (IPTTs) and databases.
Accountability:
Establish and strengthen beneficiary feedback and complaints mechanisms. 5thJuly 2026

Ensure accountability to affected populations (AAP) principles are integrated into programming.
Regularly analyze feedback data and share insights with program teams.
Learning & Knowledge Management:
Coordinate periodic reviews, learning events, and after-action reviews to promote reflective practice.
Document lessons learned, best practices, and case studies.
Support internal and external evaluations and ensure findings are disseminated and used.
Capacity Building:
Train and mentor MEAL focal points and program staff and partners on MEAL concepts, tools, and practices.
Provide technical guidance and quality assurance during proposal development and project design stages.
Data Collection and Analysis:
Collect, organize, and evaluate data for MEAL purposes, reporting internally and externally, in line with MEAL policies and procedures.
Conduct qualitative M&E (against international standards through participatory methodologies)
Participate in MEAL activities such as surveys, baselines, evaluations, joint projects monitoring, and reviews/lessons learning workshops/events.
General supporting, Reporting & Documentation:
Provide technical expertise, support, mentoring, and training on MEAL to ZOA project staff members, as required.
Contribute to the formulation and writing of proposals and programme reports.
Ensure periodic MEAL reports are compiled and disseminated including a monthly action plan tracker, Indicator Performance Tracking Table, CFM, and quarterly MEAL reports.
Ensure regular reports are generated from monitoring data and that findings are communicated effectively to appropriate persons and sectors.
Contribute to donor reports by providing accurate and timely data and analysis.
Ensure all MEAL documentation is archived and accessible for audits, evaluations, and organizational learning.
Participatory approach with all stakeholders:
Ensure that beneficiaries and other vulnerable community members including stakeholders are included and participate in all MEAL activities.
Support in strengthening the relationships with all INGOs, and government stakeholders by developing accountability frameworks for smooth project implementation.
Ensure accountability reporting and handling mechanisms are functional, and CFM data is monthly and quarterly reported by all program areas.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Responsible for the security of the activities that belong to his own position and duties. The employee is also responsible for reporting security incidents in accordance with the process description for reporting data incidents of ZOA.
Personal responsibility to work in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation in her/his position.
Handle carefully personal data, confidential information, and (information) systems.
SUPERVISES:
The MEAL Coordinator supervises MEAL staff based in Khartoum with technical backstopping and technical guidance of the field MEAL staff.
