Program Development and Quality
Take lead on providing WASH technical inputs during the development of concept notes and full proposals, including supporting completion of the logical frameworks, work plans, budgeting, monitoring tools and the implementation.
Ensure WASH projects are implemented in line with donor proposals and by RI, donor, country, and international standards such as sphere standards and WHO recommendations
Support the identification of innovative and sustainable programming approaches suited to the local context
Participate in needs assessments to inform new programming of impact of current RI programs.
Ensure that all SOPs and standard guidelines for WASH sector are standardized, in place, and utilized for delivery of quality WASH services to all beneficiaries. Support in roll out and relevant capacity building on these SOPs/guidelines.
Program (WASH) supplies and stock management
Assist in compiling facility and field-level consumption data for WASH supplies
Support field WASH teams in developing accurate supply forecasts and distribution plans based on caseload trends and program targets.
Help prepare and track supply requests in coordination with field teams, warehouse, and SMOH
Liaise with the SCO team to ensure the timely dispatch and delivery of supplies to WASH project sites and community service points
Lead on distribution of supplies to beneficiaries ensuring high-quality distribution
Take the lead on updating supplies data on the available online platforms.
MEAL
Ensure the utilization of WASH standard data collection tools for internal use and donor requirements.
Promote the use of data for decision-making across WASH program activities
Support the MEAL team in collecting, organizing, and analyzing field data for reporting and learning purposes.
Participate in monitoring reporting systems for WASH data collection, analysis for evidence-based programing and decision making provide feedback to relevant stake holders
Working with the MEAL team, support in conducting field assessments and follow up on action points identified during supervision visits.
Promote learning and documentation of best practices, successes, and challenges across RI Sudans WASH programs.
Coordination and representation with/in the relevant sectors
Support the development of collaborative relationships with government, targeted communities, NGOs, and project partners.
Represent the organization in relevant cluster and coordination meetings at state and national levels, as delegated and give feedback
Participate in seeking out relevant networks on specific WASH-related humanitarian aid and advocacy issues.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
University Degree in Water Resource, Hydraulic, Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, Public Health Engineering or relevant disciplines.
Experience
Experience in Wash facilities construction in a complex and demanding workload.
Minimum 5 years of total experience of which 2 years in Wash Program management roles & 3years in Wash emergency interventions in INGOs.
Demonstrated work experience in designing, supervise and implementing water, sanitation and hygiene infrastructural programs in community, school and health centers.
Experience of working in Humanitarian Response and Preparedness programmes.
Substantial experience of line management, effective team building, and capacity development.
Demonstrated engagement with government ministries (e.g., WES, MoH), UN agencies, and WASH clusters or sub-clusters.
Solid understanding of the WASH context in Sudan and experience working in complex emergencies or protracted crises.
Good understanding of the following integral programmatic sectors: Protection, Health, nutrition, education; disaster risk reduction and emergency response; community development and livelihoods; child protection.
Substantial experience and knowledge of program and implementation and management of WaSH interventions.
Strong knowledge of national and global WASH guidelines and protocols (e.g., Sphere Standards, WHO/UNICEF/WASH cluster frameworks).
Familiarity with WASH assessment tools
Strong background in program planning, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and donor reporting.
Understanding of multi-sectoral linkages, including Nutrition, FSL, and health integration.
Skills in supportive supervision and capacity building of field staff.
Functional capacity to analyze information, evaluate options, and think and plan in an effective, strategic manner.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) is required.

Willingness to travel frequently to field locations, sometimes in difficult conditions.
Good computer skills (particularly Excel, Word and databases) and knowledge of construction design software.
