Background: INTERSOS is an Italian humanitarian organization based in Rome that operates all over the world bringing assistance to populations in danger, victims of armed conflict and natural disasters. With its own humanitarian operators, INTERSOS intervenes to effectively meet the needs of people in crisis, by providing them with first aid, food and basic goods. It ensures that basic needs, as education, clean water and health, are met. INTERSOS’ mission is to intervene in emergency and crisis situations, to help people, families and communities whose lives are threatened by conflict, extreme exclusion, natural or manmade disasters. It does so by offering support during humanitarian emergencies, according to its operational and resources capacities. Duties and responsibilities: The Emergency Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of INTERSOS humanitarian response of an emergency in strict coordination with the Head of Mission and the Regional Office for Emergency. The activities will be conducted in close collaboration with INTERSOS mission in the field with the aim of expanding the capacity to identify and respond to the most urgent needs. The Emergency Coordinator will support the Regional Office for Emergency also in providing humanitarian analysis.
