As we expand our fuel retail and logistics network, we are seeking a meticulous and driven Accountant to join our finance team.

 

 

𝙋𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬

The Accountant will manage the daily financial operations of our fuel retail stations and logistics divisions. This role requires precise reconciliation of high-volume cash and inventory data, strict compliance with local financial regulations, and timely reporting to support strategic management decisions



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Fuel & Lubricant Inventory Control

  • Reconcile daily physical fuel dip readings against pump meters and QuickBooks data.
  • Monitor and report product variances, evaporation losses, or operational shortages.
  • Track inventory levels of lubricants and shop products across retail sites

𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨 & 𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙝 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩

  • Verify and process daily station shift reports, cash drops, and digital payments.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure all retail cash deposits match sales data.
  • Manage accounts receivable, credit limits, and invoicing for corporate fleet clients.

𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙋𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 & 𝙇𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙨 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩

  • Verify invoices from fuel suppliers, transporters, and third-party logistics vendors.
  • Process vendor payments in alignment with corporate cash flow schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet maintenance costs and fuel consumption metrics.

𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 & 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss sheets for specific retail sites.
  • Calculate and file monthly Value Added Tax (VAT), payroll taxes, and annual Zakat returns.
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with Sudanese accounting standards and tax laws.
  • Manage adjustments related to currency fluctuations and local macroeconomic shifts.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚: Minimum 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.

𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙: Prior experience in the oil & gas, downstream petroleum retail, or logistics sector is highly preferred.

𝙎𝙤𝙛𝙩𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙎𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨: Mandatory proficiency in 𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙠𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨 𝙊𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 and advanced MS Excel.

Languages: Full professional fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
