 Duties and responsibilities:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITY: 

  1. Internet Connectivity
    • Ensure reliable and high speed internet connectivity across all offices to support daily operations and business activities. This includes monitoring connectivity performance and coordinating with service providers when required.
    • Troubleshoot internet related issues promptly and provide practical solutions to minimize downtime and disruption to staff work.
    • Support and help maintain stable and proper internet connectivity within Kordofan offices to ensure continuous access to systems and online services.
  2. Azure and Office 365 Support
    • Support the setup configuration and implementation of Office 365 applications and features to meet operational and business requirements under guidance from senior IT staff.
    • Assist in the day to day administration of Office 365 services such as Exchange Online SharePoint Online OneDrive for Business and Microsoft Teams following approved procedures.
    • Support the application and enforcement of security and compliance measures including multi factor authentication within Office 365 environments to help protect organizational data.
  3. User Account and Data Management
    • Provide user support by troubleshooting application related issues and assisting with basic user account and data management tasks across Office 365 and Azure services while following data governance guidelines.
  4. Hardware and Software Installation and Maintenance
    • Respond to requests from Sub Offices for hardware and software installation maintenance and configuration in a timely and professional manner.
    • Ensure all IT equipment including personal computers printers photocopiers and scanners are functioning efficiently and are properly maintained.
  5. Technical Security
    • Ensure antivirus and endpoint protection software is installed updated and functioning correctly across the office environment.
    • Provide basic advice and support on IT security related issues in close coordination with senior IT staff.
  6. Help Desk Support
    • Act as the first point of contact for staff seeking support for network access issues Office 365 applications IT equipment and general technical problems ensuring issues are logged tracked and resolved appropriately.
  7. IT Equipment Operation Support
    • Provide ongoing technical support to ensure IT equipment continues to operate properly and meets staff needs.
  8. Procurement and Vendor Management
    • Assist the procurement unit by conducting basic technical checks and providing recommendations for newly procured IT equipment.
    • Support the coordination and management of contracted service providers responsible for IT installations repairs and maintenance.
  9. Planning and Reporting
    • Keep IT asset records accurate and up to date including tracking allocation movement and status of equipment.
    • Prepare and share reports on IT related issues including Office 365 service health and recurring technical challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related technical field

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED

• Proven experience providing day to day IT support to staff including troubleshooting hardware software and connectivity issues
• Good knowledge of computer hardware laptops desktops printers scanners and peripheral devices
• Strong working experience with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 including email setup user account management permissions and security controls
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems and common business applications

• Understanding of networking including Wi-Fi access points switches routers and structured cabling
• Experience in installing configuring and maintaining office IT equipment and networks
• Familiarity with IT asset management including inventory tracking equipment allocation and disposal processes
• Understanding of data protection information security and safe technology practices
• Ability to follow organizational IT policies procedures and standards
• Good documentation skills including writing simple user guides and recording support activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues in simple language
• Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests under pressure
• Willingness to travel to field locations when required and provide on site technical support
• Strong problem solving skills attention to detail and a service oriented attitude

EXPERIENCE:

At least two years of progressive experience in the ICT field.

Desirable, Experience with INGOs
