Background: The FSL Officer is primarily responsible for implementing ECOSEC activities, providing technical support, and ensuring effective community engagement and capacity building. The Officer will support the SRCS East State Branches in the implementation of emergency Appeal, including conducting assessments, overseeing distributions, and monitoring project activities in East Sudan, including south and West states, with particular emphasis on follow-up and volunteer motivation. The FSL Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator at SRCS Headquarters and in close coordination and collaboration with the branch director at the field level.

Duties and responsibilities:
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Coordination of technical project activities
- Technical support to project volunteers.
- Project data collection and monitoring.
- Technical planning and supervision of the activities.
- Coordination of project reporting narrative and financial
- Coordination of project technical activities at field level .
- Contribute to maintaining project implementation on track and monitoring progress of the project,
- Motivating and managing project volunteers during the project implementation.
- Participate in development of partnerships with local stakeholders to facilitate delivery of field level activities.
- Ensure safe, dignified and quality delivery service for target communities.
- stakeholders to grantee informed and effective involvement of the stakeholders.
- Technical support to branches and project volunteers
- Contributing to capacity building and development of the project volunteers in assessments,
- Participate in conducting, facilitating or co-facilitating training workshops for the project volunteers.
- Monitoring and coaching the project volunteers to achieve the goal of the project, as required, including supporting caring for volunteers roll-out.
- Coordination of project reporting processes
- Submitting implementation reports of the project implementation to the project Coordinator
- Coordination and Collaboration:
Liaise with government agencies, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate efforts and share information related to food security and livelihoods, ensuring alignment of activities and maximizing overall impact. - Other
- Contribute to development of new emergency initiative support required.
- Where appropriate, attend internal/ meetings and workshops relevant to the EcoSec project
- Undertake any other tasks in agreement with the line Coordinator
- Engage with local communities to identify needs and priorities, facilitating participatory approaches in project planning and beneficiary selection. This ensures that the projects are relevant and effective.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Qualifications - University degree, bachelor's, or in food security and Livelihood technical background - Agriculture or Forestry, agronomy, environment, geography, socioeconomics or any other related.
Experience of- At least 5 years of professional experience in Livelihoods/Food Security programming and CVA programming.
- Working with NGO’s, other institutions or authorities within the field food security and livelihood focusing in emergencies.
- Project monitoring and volunteer leadership, minimum 6 years working experience in similar positions.
Skills in - Project planning and management.
- Knowledge and interest in migration related issues and vulnerabilities
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Building effective and supportive relationships internally and externally.
- Solid computer skills include word processing, spreadsheet and presentation design packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and report writing ability.
- Conflict management and problem solving.

- Leadership and motivation.
- English and Arabic, other languages an advantage
