 Duties and responsibilities:

About the Thabat

CRS Sudan is implementing the 3-year Thabat - Enhancing Community Resilience Project in Gezira State, Sudan. The project will strengthen agricultural production and the resilience of target communities by providing timely access to inputs, services, and extension; upgrading target value chains; and working with local partners to establish and strengthen community consumer organizations that engage with vulnerable communities. The goal of the project is to improve access to affordable, high-quality food for conflict-affected communities (IDPs, returnees, and host communities) in target localities through a more efficient agricultural market system. CRS works in collaboration with market actors, including Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), input supply companies, private-sector businesses engaged in services and value addition along the value chain, Consumer Organizations (COs), local development partners, and community-based organizations to boost production, facilitate market linkages, strengthen businesses, and alleviate food insecurity. Through its other component, the project also supports nutrition programming in Khartoum, aiming to ensure effective treatment of malnourished pregnant and lactating women (PLW) and children under five, reduce the incidence of acute malnutrition in high-priority localities, and guarantee timely access to essential nutrition commodities.
