 Background:

Position Summary

SAPA is seeking a high-caliber Graphic Designer and Video Editor to join our Khartoum Office. Reporting to the Regional Communications Director, the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the visual narrative of SAPA’s humanitarian and medical interventions across the region. This role requires a blend of creative excellence, technical speed, and the resilience to document complex medical missions in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Regional Visual Strategy: Collaborate with the Regional Communications Director to implement a unified visual identity across all Sudan-based projects.
  • High-Impact Multimedia Production: Lead the end-to-end production of video documentaries, social media reels, and emergency updates that highlight SAPA’s clinical and relief impact.
  • Data-Driven Advocacy: Design sophisticated infographics and data visualizations that translate regional epidemiological and humanitarian data into actionable insights for donors and global partners.
  • Field Documentation: Conduct field visits to SAPA-supported hospitals and clinics to capture high-quality photo and video assets, ensuring ethical representation of beneficiaries.
  • Brand Stewardship: Ensure all regional materials—from internal board presentations to public-facing campaign assets—adhere to SAPA’s professional standards and institutional values.
  • Digital Asset Management: Maintain a rigorous, cloud-based archiving system for all regional visual assets to ensure continuity and accessibility for the global team.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in a fast-paced production environment, preferably within the humanitarian or medical sector in Sudan.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
  • Contextual Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Sudanese humanitarian landscape and the ability to navigate local sensitivities with professional integrity.
  • Communication: Native fluency in Arabic and professional proficiency in English (written and verbal).
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to maintain high output in challenging field conditions, including managing technical workflows during connectivity or power constraints.
  • Ethical Standards: A firm commitment to ethical storytelling and the protection of patient privacy and dignity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Motion Graphics: Advanced skills in motion design and animation to enhance educational and advocacy videos.
  • Photography: Professional-grade field photography skills.
  • Equipment: Familiarity with professional camera gear and mobile production kits.
