Background: The Community Mobilizer in White Nile office is responsible to mobilize communities to participate actively in health, WASH, Nutrition, CP, Education and FSL programs activities to ensure that Health, Education and Child Protection is available to all children and youth affected by conflict in SC operation areas. The Community mobilizer will implement basically education activities at community IDPs camps and school levels. The Community mobilizer will involve facilitating community, WASH CHP, health committees and health education activities, and participating and facilitating meetings with health committee, and assisting the community in rehabilitation/construction of facilities as infrastructure among other functions.

Duties and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities and Duties - Participate in identification of various community structures pivotal education and CP program which includes but are not limited to MTMSGs, community leader, religious leaders, IDP leaders, Child protection network. Community Mobilizers under the supervision of Education Program Coordinator/Manager might also be required to form such structures where needed.
- Participate assessments of schools, gathering points, host communities and IDP communities for various purposes including needs assessment directed or advised by supervisor.
- Identify OOSCs in the location and assess the potential reasons for drop out and needs to OOSCs and their households.
- Facilitate communities and parents’ meetings or forums for identifying and finding possible solutions to education related issues within the communities.
- Facilitate the formation and strengthening of community committees / Structure to ensure that they effectively discharge their functions in line with community-based education strategies.
- Maintain appropriate interactions with children and youth at both professional and personal life.
- Help the supported community and mobilize them to mobilize their local resources to participate in education intervention meanwhile help the community to understand the value of education and Child protection.
- Assist in distribution of IEC materials as well as well as other education related supplies.
- Assist in monitoring and supervising rehabilitation /construction of schools as infrastructure and advised by the Education Program Manager/Coordinator supporting the role of civil engineers.
- CM will Assist the sector leads to mobilize the local community for implementation of the project. He/she also assist in arranging for distributions and recording it.
- As EU is a project of different thematic sectors that are expected to collaborate and operate together and since we're tight on time, we need to add generic lines to all positions like:
- Corporation between Education, CP, and School meal thematic sectors.
- Depending on the position's seniority level: add leading on, supporting or assisting with all EU activities and Cluster coordination

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Social Sciences, Economics, Education, Psychology, or any other relevant humanities discipline. At least two (2) years of experience working as a Community Mobilizer with International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs)
