 Background:

To lead and coordinate the Risk Awareness and Safer Behaviour (RASB) programme at national level, ensuring effective implementation, quality assurance, and alignment with SRCS and ICRC guidelines to reduce risks of weapon contamination for communities, staff, and volunteers.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Programme Management

  • Lead planning and implementation of RASB activities in line with the annual plan (PoA) 
  • Ensure activities are delivered on time, with quality and according to standards 
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed 

2. Coordination & Partnerships

  • Coordinate closely with ICRC and relevant partners.
  • Liaise with authorities and stakeholders on RASB-related activities 
  • Support integration of RASB into wider SRCS programmes 

3. Supervision & Capacity Building

  • Supervise and support RASB Focal Points at branch level 
  • Organize and support trainings (ToT, refresher, volunteers) 
  • Provide coaching and technical guidance 

4. Monitoring, Reporting & QA

  • Conduct regular field monitoring visits 
  • Review reports from focal points and volunteers 
  • Ensure proper data collection, documentation, and reporting 

5. Technical Support & SOPs

  • Lead development/update of RASB SOPs and tools 
  • Ensure safety briefings and staff safety measures are in place 
  • Provide technical advice on RASB messaging and materials 

 

6. Resource & Administration Support

  • Ensure branches have required tools, materials, and equipment 
  • Support recruitment/selection of RASB staff if needed 

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in programme management or training 
  • Experience in humanitarian or protection-related work preferred 
  • Strong coordination, communication, and reporting skills 
  • Good understanding of SRCS/Red Cross Movement is an asset 

Languages

  • Fluency in English and Arabic.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel to travel to the programme implementation states
  • Ability to work in challenging environments
