 Background:

The Driver/Logistics will be responsible for safely transporting goods and personnel to various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest standards of customer service and these tasks include facilitating and coordinating smooth transportation/movement of all staff and goods in operation facilities. This includes ensuring proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle, adhering to the organization policies and procedures and government traffic laws. With approximately, this position will demand a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual who will be able to solve challenges as they arise. He will be required to be an active team player who will improve current systems from knowledge and experience gained through at least 3 – 5 years’ experience in this area.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Driver responsibilities:

  • Practice safe driving habits with positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Follow all state and national safety regulations and standards.
  • Accurately follow routes and verbal directions.
  • Load cargo and baggage, and assist passengers when needed 
  • Keep exterior of vehicle clean and presentable 
  • Maintain vehicle equipment; replace oil, fill gas tank, perform general motor vehicle maintenance as needed for safety 
  • Load and unload vehicle 
  • Collect payments, document amount, and offer receipts when necessary 
  • Complete documentation such as logs, mileage, or cargo and passenger reports 
  • Follow schedules and rerouting in a timely manner when faced with traffic or congestion.
  • Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting issues
  • Keep interior of vehicles clean 

 

Logistics responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with logistics team for route planning and scheduling
  • Ensuring compliance with INGO policies and local regulations
  • Assisting with cargo handling and customs clearance
  • Providing administrative support to the logistics team as needed
  • Perform Other duties as required.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Be both self-reliant and can lead and co-operate with others.
  • Ability to use VHF radio. communication tool, etc..
  • Be able to work under minimum supervision to achieve the set objective
  • High level of interpersonal skills and communication skills in multi-cultural contexts
