Job Summary

As a member of the CRS Sudan Enhancing Community Resilience (Nutrition) project, you will facilitate the achievement of project objectives through coordinating and reporting on all project activities and providing technical guidance and advice to SMOH Seconded staff and implementing partner(s) advancing CRS’s work serving the poor and vulnerable.  As a Rapid Response team, you will provide hands-on technical oversight into Health and Nutrition activities including providing technical support to local partners, starting support in new localities and undertaking SMART surveys.  You may also be assigned to provide direct support to MoH at locality level across Wadi Salih, you will be mainly based in Wadi Salih with Regular Support to Mukjar and Um Dukhun Offices.  You will coordinate with the project team, local authorities and other implementers and report on all project activities but you will be mainly responsible for Monitoring, Suppression, Follow-up and managing all the Thabat health and nutrition facilities including the SCs.

Roles and Key Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
• Monitor and report on any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules. Assist partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences.
• Support accountability through coordinating project evaluation activities and assisting partners in their efforts to collect and analyze project data per specified mechanisms and tools. Collaborate with local partner(s) to prepare reports per established reporting schedule. 
• Collect information on staff capacity needs and technical assistance needs of partner organizations and monitor capacity building and technical support activities to ensure effective impact.
• Complete project documentation for assigned activities. Assist with identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices.
• Provide on the job training for nutrition seconded staff.
• Actively participate in the information sharing, program improvement and strategic planning through linkages with all project staff, stakeholder forums, and other NGOs to ensure integrated, coordinated and timely project implementation. 
• Ensure quality of data collection and records management. 
• Ensure quality of data collection and records management by the CHWs. 
• Compile weekly and monthly activity reports with support for the documentation and dissemination of project achievements, challenges, lessons learned and best practices. 
• Represent CRS to community leaders, communities, local authorities, government officials, NGOs as well as Nutrition forums as needed. 
• Work closely with and support any implementing partners in project management.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree relevant to the area of human nutrition, public health and other related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in project support.  Fresh graduates may be considered for the role.
• Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.
• Experience in the field of Health and Nutrition and for an NGOs would be a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

• Proficient in using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Observation, active listening and analysis skills with ability to make sound judgment
• Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners and community members
• Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities
• Proactive, results-oriented and service-oriented

Required Languages:

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Local language skills are a plus.

Travel: TMust be willing and able to travel up to 50 % to Wadissalih ,  Mukjar , Um Dukhun and other localities of the project operation
