Position Summary: 

 

The HR Coordinator (Recruitment) will lead strategic recruitment initiatives, ensuring the hiring process across RI Sudan is transparent, efficient, and aligned with organizational policies and donor requirements. The role supports both national and field-level hiring, focusing on workforce planning, candidate sourcing, shortlisting, and onboarding coordination.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Key Areas of Accountability: 

  • Lead and coordinate full-cycle recruitment processes across departments and field locations
  • Receive Requisition Request Form (RRF) from the hiring Departments, ensure there is a job description for each request as per approved title scheme
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates within Sudan’s dynamic labor market
  • Develop job advertisements in alignment with Relief International’s job grade structure, policies and procedures, and post jobs electronically; considering HAC and LO directives.
  • Liaise with department heads to forecast staffing needs and draft vacancy announcements
  • Ensure that all recruitments for new posts are budgeted and in line with organizational plans.
  • Ensure compliance with RI’s recruitment policies and donor regulations (Responsible for the implementation of Relief International’s recruitment policies and procedures; including the training of hiring managers)
  • Work closely with hiring managers and HR Team in the country and area offices to ensure that the HR recruitment process is done on a timely manner, with high quality and compliant with Relief International’s policies and procedures and in line with Sudan Labour Law.
  • Participate in shortlists with the help of the Shortlisting Managers of the various Positions (HAC and LO authorities included where external candidates are concerned), assist with coordinating interview teams, developing tests.
  • Manage recruitment tracking tools, matrices, and staffing dashboards
  • Guide selection panels in structured shortlisting and interview procedures and advise hiring  managers on employment procedures, processes and Sudan labour legislation.
  • Verify employment checks, reference calls, and due diligence steps before hiring
  • Draft offer letters and employment contracts. And Collaborate with Finance and HR teams to ensure proper contract structuring and payroll onboarding
  • Develop candidate rosters, employ sourcing strategies, actively network and employ innovative, creative recruiting methods to hire the best talent.
  • Contribute to digitizing staff files and audit-ready documentation
  • Provide regular recruitment reports to Country HR Manager 
  • Promote inclusive hiring practices and safeguard ethical standards
  • Assist with the new hire orientation process; preparing the new hire schedule and coordinating with relevant staff.
  • Ensure new hires are trained on all Relief International’s policies.
  • Arrange and lead induction and training session related to HR including Code of Conduct.
  • Regularly maintain the recruitment tracker for Regular, Seconded and casual/service contract staff

 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Qualifications & Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Minimum of 4 years HR experience, including at least 2 years in recruitment

Prior experience with INGOs or multi-stakeholder environments preferred

Strong working knowledge of Sudanese labor law

Fluency in English and Arabic (written and verbal)

Experience with SAP HR modules, Sage, or other payroll/recruitment systems is a plus
