Background: INTERSOS is an Italian humanitarian organisation based in Rome that operates all over the world bringing assistance to populations in danger, victims of armed conflict and natural disasters. With its own humanitarian operators, INTERSOS intervenes to effectively meet the needs of people in crisis, by providing them with first aid, food and basic goods. It ensures that basic needs, as education, clean water and health, are met. INTERSOS’ mission is to intervene in emergency and crisis situations, to help people, families and communities whose lives are threatened by conflict, extreme exclusion, natural or manmade disasters. It does so by offering support during humanitarian emergencies, according to its operational and resources capacities. Duties and responsibilities:
Main Purpose To lead, coordinate, and ensure the effective implementation of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) activities at INTERSOS supported health facilities and outreach services. The RH Activities Manager ensures that SRH services including antenatal and postnatal care, skilled birth attendance, family planning, BEmONC, management of STIs, and the clinical care of SGBV survivors are delivered in accordance with INTERSOS protocols, national policies, and international standards such as MISP for SRH, WHO, and Sphere. The RHAM contributes to quality improvement, staff capacity development, and integration of SRH within the broader PHC package. Key Responsibilities1. Service Delivery and Technical Oversight- Ensure effective and timely delivery of SRH services in all supported facilities and outreach programs, including emergency obstetric and newborn care (BEmONC) where relevant.
- Guarantee the availability and correct application of up to date clinical protocols and job aids for ANC, PNC, skilled delivery, contraception, STI management, and SGBV response.
- Monitor adherence to Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for SRH standards and facilitate rapid SRH service deployment in new emergencies.
- Identify gaps in service delivery and propose evidence based improvements to ensure quality and equity in SRH care.
- Capacity Building, Supervision, and Staff Development
- Conduct regular technical supervision and clinical mentoring for midwives, nurses, and SRH staff across project sites.
- Coordinate with MAM, Medco ,RH Referent, and HR to design and deliver structured on the job training and capacity building activities.
- Support performance evaluation of RH staff and identify training needs and development opportunities.
- Promote continuous learning and adherence to quality standards among staff.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Quality Assurance- Oversee SRH data collection, validation, and reporting processes in collaboration with M&E and Health Information teams.
- Analyze SRH service data for trends, performance gaps, and outcomes and then formulate recommendations for technical improvement.
- Implement quality assurance mechanisms, including supervision checklists, clinical audits, and client feedback tools.
- Support periodic reviews of RH indicators aligned with donor and INTERSOS reporting requirements.
4. Supply and Logistics Coordination- Lead quantification and forecasting of SRH commodities (delivery and Newborn Care kits, contraceptives, medications, PEP Kits).
- Coordinate closely with pharmacy and logistics teams to maintain uninterrupted supply and rational use of RH commodities.
- Monitor stock levels, expiration dates, and usage to prevent shortages or wastage.
- Support procurement and inventory control systems for RH related items.
5. Coordination and Representation- Represent INTERSOS in relevant RH and GBV/SRH coordination platforms (like, MoH, UNFPA, SRH WG and Health sub clusters).
- Collaborate with Protection, Health teams to integrate SRH services across sectors.
- Maintain constructive relationships with local health authorities and partners to strengthen service delivery and referral systems.
- Contribute to project design and development of SRH components in proposals and donor reports.
6. Community Engagement and Health Promotion- Work with CHWs and health promoters to implement SRH focused health education, birth preparedness, and GBV prevention campaigns.
- Facilitate linkages between communities and health facilities to improve early care seeking behavior and referrals.
- Ensure that messaging is gender sensitive, inclusive, and appropriate for the cultural context.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
RequirementsEducation- Degree in Midwifery, Nursing with SRH specialization,
- Additional training in BEmONC, family planning, and SGBV desirable.
Experience- At least 2 years of professional experience in SRH program implementation in humanitarian or low resource settings.
- Proven clinical experience in obstetric care, family planning, and SRH service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and training midwives and SRH staff.
Languages- Fluent in English (required); Arabic (required) or other local language(s) an asset depending on the context.
Technical Skills- Solid knowledge of international SRH standards (MISP, WHO, Sphere, IA Field Manual).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of health commodity management and RH supply chains.
