Background: Overview: The Communications Director will lead the organization’s strategic communications, public relations, and stakeholder engagement efforts across the region. The role ensures consistent, high-quality messaging, strong media presence, and effective coordination between the regional office, country offices, and state teams. The Director works closely with senior leadership and provides strategic advice to the Regional Director.

Duties and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement the regional communication strategy in alignment with organizational priorities.
- Lead external communication, branding, media relations, crisis communication, and content development.
- Strengthen visibility of the organization’s programmes, partnerships, and humanitarian/health impact.
- Support the Regional Director and senior leadership with strategic messaging, speeches, and official briefs.
- Coordinate with country and state offices to ensure coherent, timely, and accurate communication flows.
- Oversee production of reports, success stories, newsletters, digital content, and advocacy materials.
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government, donors, UN agencies, and media.
- Provide capacity building and guidance to communication focal points across the region.
- Ensure communication compliance with donor requirements and organizational standards.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- Master degree in communications, media, public relations, international relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in communications within INGOs, UN agencies, or development/humanitarian organizations.
- Proven experience in developing and managing communication strategies.
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
