Background: SUDO is an independent, secular, nongovernmental, non-partisan and non-profit making organization established in April 2001 and dedicated to the promotion and the protection of human rights, peace building, support human basic services and development. In particular, the sector includes: FSL, Health, Nutrition, Protection, WASH, and cash programs. SUDO is currently operating through 13 well-established field offices.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Review the donors’ communications/visibility/marking requirements for different projects and work with the field team to ensure compliance with the requirement.
- Write, edit and distribute various types of content, including material for a website, marketing material, and other types of content that take the message to the public (after approval of content by the direct supervisor and the Executive Director).
- Support collection of success stories, proofreading and editing of communication products, photos, videos, presentations on project results and lead media campaigns.
- Manage the organization’s social media communications.
- Manage and regularly update the organization's website.
- Maintain a database of media organizations, update as required and share with the management.
- Create and produce newsletters with situational updates and achievements for internal and external use.
- Maintain and create content for blogs, news, video and social channels like Twitter, Linked-In, YouTube and Facebook, regularly.
- Develop a communications strategy.
- Overseeing all incoming and outgoing projects documentation.
- Liaise with field staff to update and review the States pages at social media.
- Work with the reporting specialist and program director to contribute significantly in the production of the organization's annual report.
- Increase visibility of SUDO among the general public.
- Build the expertise, skills and capacity of communications focal points within country teams to develop communications materials and on communications best practices and methodologies.
- Assist in the development of journalist and media contacts lists.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelor‘s degree in communication, IT, public relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in communications or similar roles in non-profit organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Photography and/or videography skills and extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite software (similar software).
Skills: - Innovative mindset to develop unique communication initiatives.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and strategies to leverage them for communication purposes.
- Ability to assess communication effectiveness and adapt strategies accordingly.
