 Duties and responsibilities:

Job Overview/Summary: The position will maintain the data related to the health services at the health facility or
mobile clinic using the standard IRC health data collection tools and health information system
Major Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of Health officer and working in close collaboration with the health
information systems officer and clinical staff in the health facility/mobile clinics, the HIS Assistant will be responsible for
The following:

  • Register new clients and update existing client demographics in collaboration with other teams.
  • Facilitate patient flow and reducing bottlenecks and triage.
  • Responsible for the overall data management and record keeping at the health facility.
  •  Report on weekly basis the updated registration to the health information Officer and Health Manage
  •  Fill in daily statistics (registrations, admissions) and submits to health Officer
  • Regular updates of the health database
  •  Enter required health information from patient files into data system, from initial entry into the clinic and clinical
    notes.
  • Ensure quality information management, Ensure strong data quality.
  • Collaborate closely with medical Assistants and other health providers.
  • Make appointments for return NCD and other patients.
  • File documentation
  • Participate in trainings, assessments, surveys etc.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in Windows operating system
  • Proficient in word/excel
  •  Good communication skills verbal and written
  • Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural and political environment and to work well with the local health
    representatives
  • Previous experience of working with a multi-disciplinary team in a cross-cultural setting
  • A good demeanor & phenomenal teammate
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical and clinic staff and
    the public.
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
  • The ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.

  • Education: Degree in information technology or related field
    Work Experience: at least one year working experience on similar position
    Language Skills: Fluent in Arabic and proficient in English
