 Background:

SOS Children’s Villages is a global humanitarian and development organization working in over 130 countries to meet the needs and protect the rights of orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children. In Sudan, we have been delivering vital programs in child protection, education, WASH, and emergency response for decades.
As humanitarian needs escalate in Sudan due to protracted conflict and displacement, SOS CV Sudan is scaling up its emergency interventions.
 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Donor & Grant Management Coordinator to lead institutional fundraising efforts at the national level. This role focuses on grant acquisition, donor relationship management, donor contract compliance, and capacity building, aiming to diversify and increase funding for SOS Children’s Villages Sudan.
Key Responsibilities
1. Grant Acquisition
• Identify funding opportunities from bilateral, multilateral, and international institutions.
• Develop funding partners due diligence and comply SOS documentation accordingly. 
• Lead proposal writing, concept note development, and feasibility studies.
• Coordinate with program and finance teams to develop and submit donor-ready documents.
• Maintain strong donor relationships and ensure effective communications and reporting.
2. Donor Contract Management
• Oversee all aspects of donor contracts, including consortium agreements and compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date funding files and grant management systems.
• Collaborate with finance and programs to ensure smooth contract implementation and reporting.


3. Strategy & Capacity Building
• Develop and implement a national fundraising and partnership strategy.
• Train staff in Donor Contract Management (DCM), Project Cycle Management (PCM), Logical Framework, and other tools.
• Build the funding-related capacities of the program and support staff.
4. Partnership Development & Networking
• Represent SOS Sudan in donor meetings, sector forums, and networking events.
• Develop collaborative relationships with NGOs, institutions, and government bodies.
• Participate in regional IPD events and share best practices.
 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in development studies, International Relations, or related social sciences. Master’s degree preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in institutional fundraising and grant management, in the NGO sector.
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance, DCM, PCM, and international donor requirements.
• Sectoral understanding in areas like child protection, education, health, and livelihoods.
• Excellent proposal writing, reporting, research, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to network and represent the organization at high levels.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities for multiple location operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Experience in building the capacity of teams in funding and compliance matters.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential
