STRC possesses a social research arm which mainly focuses on addressing socio-economic and environmental issues which affect the wellbeing of the society at large. STRC has strengthened its research capacity through a panel of experts possessing diverse experiences.

Purpose of the Roster

STRC is establishing a Consultant Roster of qualified Trainers and Researchers who can be engaged on a short-term, on-demand basis to support training, facilitation, and applied research assignments.

The roster seeks experienced professionals who combine practical field expertise with methodological rigor, strong facilitation skills, and a commitment to ethical and inclusive learning.



1. Consultant Trainers

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging, interactive training sessions (in-person ONLY).
  • Develop training materials, presentations, handouts, and participant assessments.
  • Facilitate sessions for NGOs, community-based organizations, and youth groups.
  • Contribute to STRC’s growing training curriculum and e-learning library.
  • Prepare post-training reports and feedback summaries.
  • Undertake any other tasks as mutually discussed and agreed between STRC and the consultant.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Development Studies, Education, Public Health or related field.
  • At least 5 years of facilitation/training experience, preferably with training institute, University, NGOs or UN agencies.
  • Strong communication skills in Arabic and/or English.
  • Experience designing adult learning materials and delivering in-person sessions.

2. Consultant Researchers

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement qualitative and quantitative research and evaluations.
  • Develop study designs, data collection tools, and sampling methodologies.
  • Train data collection and data analysis teams. 
  • Conduct and supervise field data collection and ensure quality control.
  • Analyze data using tools such as SPSS, STATA, NVivo, KoboToolbox, or Excel.
  • Draft analytical reports, summaries, and policy briefs.
  • Apply M&E frameworks and ensure learning integration in research outputs.
  • Uphold ethical standards, data protection, and safeguarding principles.
  • Undertake any other tasks as mutually discussed and agreed between STRC and the consultant.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Health, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of applied research experience in humanitarian or development settings.
  • Proven skills in data collection methods, research design, and use of digital data tools.
  • Experience in M&E and results-based reporting strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and deliver on time.

Roster Validity

Shortlisted candidates will be contracted for an interview. Selected consultants will be placed on a roster and engaged on short-term assignments depending on project needs and client requirements.
