Duties and responsibilities:
Position SummaryThe Reproductive Health Supervisor will oversee the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of reproductive health (RH) services in supported health facilities (HFs). This role focuses on ensuring the provision of high-quality RH services across key subsectors, including antenatal care (ANC), postnatal care (PNC), safe deliveries, family planning (FP), and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) care. The Supervisor will also support staff development, maintain quality standards, ensure safeguarding protocols are followed, and contribute to comprehensive reporting and data management. Key Responsibilities1. Implementation- Ensure the availability of essential RH supplies, equipment, and drugs in supported HFs.
- Oversee the provision of quality RH services, including ANC, PNC, safe deliveries, FP, and referral services.
- Strengthen referral pathways for SGBV survivors and obstetric emergencies.
- Work closely with Community Health Workers (CHWs) to improve facility-based deliveries and maternal health outcomes.
- Lead the planning and implementation of health education campaigns, including RH and hygiene promotion.
- Conduct regular supervisory visits to ensure compliance with Ministry of Health (MOH) and WHO guidelines.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL)- Ensure accurate and timely submission of RH data, including patient registration and activity reporting.
- Analyze RH service data to identify gaps and propose actionable solutions.
- Contribute to the development of Reproductive Health program reports and narrative updates.
- Monitor program outcomes against established objectives and adjust activities to improve impact.
3. Quality Assurance- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure adherence to Reproductive Health service standards and protocols.
- Facilitate on-job training and capacity-building initiatives for Reproductive Health staff to enhance their technical skills.
- Ensure consistent application of evidence-based practices in Reproductive Health service delivery.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to Reproductive Health staff to strengthen their professional growth and confidence.
4. Safeguarding- Promote a culture of safeguarding within RH services to ensure the safety and dignity of all clients.
- Train Reproductive Health staff on safeguarding protocols, including the handling of sensitive cases such as SGBV.
- Monitor Reproductive Health activities for potential safeguarding risks and address concerns promptly.
- Uphold RI’s Code of Conduct and P4 safeguarding principles.
Other Responsibilities- Represent Reproductive Health services in internal and external meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical care coordinator to support the success of the Reproductive Health program.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Qualifications and RequirementsMinimum Qualifications- Degree or diploma in Midwifery from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years of experience in implementing secondary/primary healthcare programs at the field or clinic level, with a focus on Reproductive Health services.
- At least 1 year work at a health facility. Candidates with experience at a teaching and Referral Hospital will be given due consideration
- Minimum 1 year of experience with NGOs or international organizations in curative and preventative service delivery.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
- Working knowledge of English, with the ability to communicate in Arabic.
- Strong communication, management, and capacity-building skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience- Background in Community Health, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience managing a team of community volunteers.
- Proven ability to understand cultural contexts and work effectively with local health representatives.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Capacity to work under high-pressure conditions with flexibility and adaptability.
