Essential Position Responsibilities and Duties:

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Under the technical supervision of the Health and Nutrition Coordinator will:

 

  • Ensure availability of reproductive health supplies and equipment needed in the HFs.
  • Ensure provision of quality reproductive health services that includes ANC, PNC, safe delivery, Family planning and referral within the HFs.
  • Oversee the management of the RH health staff at the HFs
  • Supervise all Reproductive Health staff in the supported HFs Strengthen the referral pathway for both SGBV and obstetric cases 
  • Through a network of CHWs, ensure that health facility Delivery improves 
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of health education and hygiene promotion messages.
  • Ensure timely submission of RH data
  • Provide on job training to RH staff through weekly and monthly support supervision visits 
  • Share monthly activity narrative reports.
  • Follow MOH and WHO guidelines and protocols in managing patients.
  • Ensure all cases should be registered in the registration book.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

 QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Midwifery degree/diploma from an accredited University.
  • Minimum 2-3 years working in the implementation of primary health care programs at field/clinic level or providing midwifery/RH services in a PHC clinic; Minimum 2 year working with NGOs or international organizations in the provision of curative and preventative services
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Minimum Working knowledge of English, with the ability to write in both English and Arabic languages.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as a part of a team
  • Strong communication, management, and capacity building (coaching) skills

 

Preferred experience & skills:

  • Preference for candidates with Community health or social work background- Medical, Nursing and or Reproductive Health background and experience will be added advantage.
  • Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural environment and to work well with the local health representatives.
  • Previous experience managing a community volunteer team
  • Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work displaying patience, compassion and diplomacy.
  • Ability to be innovative, flexible, and adaptive.
  • Ability to work under difficult, high-pressure situations.
