Position Summary: 

The HR Coordinator – Training and Develpoment will lead strategic Training and Develpoment initiatives, and supports the HR team by leading staff training, performance management, and well-being activities. This role helps improve staff skills, ensures performance reviews are done on time, and promotes a healthy and supportive work environment.

The coordinator works closely with HR, managers, and other departments to plan trainings, track staff performance, and organize wellness sessions.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Key Areas of Accountability: 

  • Carries out and provides support for learning and development programs and Performance Management Development activities.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify learning gaps and determine the necessary support and training required
  • Contributes to planning and developing the delegation learning and development budget, annual planning, and training programs.
  • Contributes to formulating delegation priorities and strategies for learning and development.
  • Contributes to the administrative and logistical organization of learning and development programs.
  • Carries out evaluation and reporting related to their learning programs.
  • Liaises with Administration and other departments in Sudan for all the training needs (Focal Point).
  • Contributes to the drafting of Planning for results exercise and budget for its projects.
  • Carries out administrative follow-up on related PMD and LnD activities.
  • Supervision and coaching of trainer(s).
  •  Prepare and present reports detailing training activities, participation rates, and outcomes.
  •  Employ a variety of training methods, including in-person, online, and blended learning formats.
  • Supports line managers in their managerial responsibilities regarding PMD and LnD activities.
  • Support employees by maintaining an up-to-date record of all mandatory trainings for Relief International Sudan.
  • Conduct in-person induction programs for newly recruited Casuals and regular staff on a consistent basis.
  • Design assessments (pre-tests and post-tests) to evaluate employees' understanding of organizational standards.
  • Gather and analyse feedback from staff regarding the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Promote awareness of mental health issues and work to reduce stigma through educational and communication initiatives.
  • Represent HR/L&D in internal or external meetings, workshops, and working groups.
  • Support emergency and crisis response preparedness through relevant training and staff care.
  • Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor in line with department or organizational needs.
  • Run quarterly surveys to secure staff feedback on different aspects. 
  • Maintain proper training tracker/database to record the training history
  • Coordinate with UN Agencies, INGOs and other partners to explore the training opportunities 
  • Closely work with GSO team to make RI LMS Academy/Learning pool accounts 100% active for all staff.
  • Ensure and track staff complete the assigned trainings 100%

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (master’s preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years HR experience, including at least 2 years in recruitment
  • Prior experience with INGOs or multi-stakeholder environments preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Sudanese labor law
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (written and verbal)
  • Experience with SAP HR modules, Sage, or other payroll/recruitment systems is a plus
