Background: The Protection Assistant will provide technical and operational support to the local implementing partner in delivering ALDARA’s community-led protection activities, including conflict prevention, early warning systems, and peacebuilding. Under the guidance of the Protection Coordinator, the assistant will focus on capacity-building for Peace Committees, incident documentation, and inclusive social cohesion activities—ensuring women, youth, and vulnerable groups are prioritized. |

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: Qualifications: Education: Diploma or equivalent in social sciences, community development, or related field. Bachelor’s degree is a plus. Experience: At least 2–3 years in protection, humanitarian assistance, or community mobilization, preferably in West Darfur. Familiarity with gender-sensitive programming and safeguarding principles. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse communities. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) and ability to compile reports. Fluency in Arabic (required) and English (preferred); local languages an asset. Willingness to travel frequently to remote areas under challenging conditions. Desirable: Prior experience supporting local NGOs or community-based organizations in conflict-affected areas. Training in PSA (Psychosocial Support) or GBV case management. |
