 Background:

The Capital Finance Assistant is under the responsibility of the Country Finance Manager. S/he is responsible for supporting ACTED financial management in country, especially centralizing and executing the payments & ensuring the quality and accuracy of the mission’s records and documents.

 Duties and responsibilities:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: General Objectives: Checking the supporting documents for expenditures. Executing payments. Ensuring archiving of accounting documents. Updating daily the accounting books with the payments sent to the bank, Key responsibilities: Capital-Level Payment & Data Entry Ensure the proper execution of all payments at the capital level, including supplier payments, staff reimbursements and operational expenses' Ensure payments are made in accordance with ACTED’s financial procedures and authorization thresholds' Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting books for all financial transactions at the capital level's Ensure proper classification according to Acted’s chart of accounts' Ensure that all financial records are supported by appropriate documentation.
Petty Cash Management Ensure all petty cash disbursements are properly authorized and documented Conduct regular petty cash reconciliations and ensure timely replenishment. Other Financial Duties Assist in compiling financial documentation for audits and donor reporting's Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial procedures' Perform any other finance-related tasks as assigned by the line manager.



 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

 Notions in accounting or finance is required Basic Microsoft Excel skills is required Ability to communicate fluently in Arabic and English is required Rigor and orientation to detail is required Previous experience in an international NGO is desirable
