Background: ROLE PURPOSE: The purpose of this role is to ensure that SCI international and local personnel are working within an environment consistent with accepted minimum safety and security standards. This encompasses the development of security plans and of mainstreaming the individual and collective sense of security and safety awareness and responsibility. It also consists of advising the DDPO/ HPI/ Staff on security challenges, developing risk assessments and proposing risk reduction measures in addition to developing, maintaining, updating and implementing when necessary, security protocols and operating procedures according to the changing situation.

Duties and responsibilities:
KEY AREAS OF Responsibility : - Monitor the security situation in the operational area and delivering S&S advise to HPI/ staff in GK FOs.
- Assessment and analysis the area security situation.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and adjust security protocols accordingly.
- Monitor political, social, economic, and military situation and identify trends relevant to security situation.
- Determine the risk level in the area.
- Provide appropriate training to the SSFP/ guards on their roles and responsibilities, including adherence to ethical standards and neutrality.
- Assist in managing the activities and performance of SSFP/ guards and communications to staff to ensure that all duties are carried out effectively and in a professional manner.
- To assist, as required, with the development and implementation of security-related workplans including contingency plans.
- Implementation all safety and security measurement in office, field and guest house (all SCI premises).
- Engagement with rest departments to accomplishment tasks and activities through security wise.
- Check and maintain all safety and security equipment’s.
- Create and maintain good network with GOs authority, beer INGOs & un agencies and community.
- Assist Supply Chain department in ensuring that all vehicles, premises, and equipment are compliant with basic security standards.
- Monitor track staff & headcount and vehicles movement in the field and update HPI and Supply Chain Office, respectively.
- Participate as requested in security-related meetings.
- Actively contribute to information exchange both internally and externally and share with HPI / SSFPs and staff in timely manner.
- To assist, as required, with incidents management and incidents reporting.
- In liaison with the HPI/ line manager and field-based security and operations staff, provide comprehensive, neutral, and non-partisan information on security risks, threats, and incidents.
- Safety & Security coordinator will support line manger in oversight GK FOs program.
- Liase with government security agencies in security related matters.
- Briefing / orienting deployments and visitors in S&S.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
QUALIFICATIONS :- - BA degree in an area of police science and low/ military science and adminstration or equivalent field.
- Multiple language skills desirable.
- Recommended a minimum of 3 years S&S experience.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :- - Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, and knowledge of rapport building and probing techniques.
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Ability to work in a volatile environment and willingness to relocate as per the need and requirements of the field office.
High level of experience in developing security related technical tools guidelines and systems.
