 Duties and responsibilities:

  Implementation and Monitoring Field Work:

  • Design, implement, and coordinate GVB activities in accordance with project objectives and guidelines.
  • Ensure that GVB activities adhere to best practices and GBV guiding principles; flagging any concerns to the project manager in a timely manner.
  • Conduct assessments and analyze the needs in the targeted areas, identifying key issues and challenges related to gender-based violence, and women's empowerment.
  • Ensure the integration of gender-based violence with reproductive health services across program activities.
  • Provide technical support to maintain high-quality program inputs and outputs in the GBV in program implementation.
  • Assessment of GBV needs and drafting of periodic GBV reports.
  • Initiate planning for longer-term GBV prevention and response activities, including referral pathways and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide support and advice to the affected people through local training, workshops and capacity building.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project staff on core GBV training package; identify opportunities for further learning and best practices in women's empowerment to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Conduct awareness sessions and workshops to promote gender-based violence prevention in the community.
  • Operationalize context-appropriate Complaint and Feedback Mechanisms (CFM) at all supported health and nutrition sites, ensuring they are inclusive, confidential, and accessible to all groups.
  • Track, analyze, and respond to community feedback in coordination with MEAL and technical teams.
  • Support community sensitization on AAP principles, GBV prevention, PSEA, and rights-based health services through targeted IEC materials and participatory methods.
  • Document success stories, feedback cases, and lessons learned to inform adaptive programming.
  • Facilitate beneficiary satisfaction surveys, focus group discussions, and other community engagement tools.
  • Ensure that all GBV needs are covered by the cluster.
  • Strengthened capacity of GBV service providers, including training for HWs on Psychological First Aid, Case Management, and Referral System.
  • Establish referral pathways between RH, GBV, and other relevant services to ensure that survivors receive comprehensive care and support.
  • Manages all incoming and outgoing referral processes.
  • She/He is responsible for the overall management of referral focal points at PHCs level .
  • Facilitates admission procedures for the patients that are referred from the destination Hospital in case of facing any problem, and do the regular follow up of the cases while admitted in the referral hospital and ensure that they are receiving good quality care.
  • Act as the focal point for all GBV related issues .
  • Maintain, monitor and measure GBV project activity implementation and contribute to effective information management on GBV .
  • Builds and maintain good relationships with relevant agencies and service providers  .
  • Collect data and success stories and ducumention from field team and compile and submit monthly quarterly reports .
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Program Manager . 

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, gender, international development, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in GBV programming and/or community accountability in humanitarian or development settings.
  • Strong English language speaking and writing abilities.
  • Proven experience working in gender-based violence prevention, "Women empowerment training or related fields.
  • Familiarity with case management approaches and survivor-centered care.
  • Experience in capacity building and training on gender-based violence.
  • Knowledge of referral mechanisms and services for survivors of gender-based violence, including legal, medical, psychosocial, and economic support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess needs, develop strategies, and measure impact.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with demonstrated leadership and coordination skills.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and ability to work in a multicultural environment.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software for data collection, and reporting.
