MAIN PURPOSE: The Field Monitor for Health Facilities (HFs) is responsible for conducting regular field visits to assigned health facilities to ensure the effective monitoring of health program implementation. The Field Monitor plays a key role in ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with national standards, donor requirements, and internal protocols. The role focuses on verifying the availability of essential supplies, monitoring service delivery quality, documenting beneficiary feedback, and ensuring compliance with key indicators, particularly in hard-to-reach and high-priority areas.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

General

  • Comply all BFD’s policies (Safeguarding policy, Code of conduct, Child protection, Safety & Security policy.) and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Comply with BFD's policies and practice with respect to BENFS protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Creates a managerial environment to lead, enable and maintain our culture of safeguarding.

 

Specific

  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly consuming reports and collect data of the targeted health centers and mobile team.
  • Conduct scheduled field monitoring visits to supported health facilities
  • Monitor availability and proper utilization of drugs, medical supplies, and equipment..
  • Follow-up the field HNWs’ performance.
  • Support logistical and financial departments in providing necessary supportive documents in order to facilitate procurement and payments.
  • Review HFs reports.
  • Monitor HFs attendance and compliance with minimum service delivery standards
  • Submit weekly/monthly monitoring reports, photos, and attendance sheets to the MEAL/Project Officer.
  • Keep the project’s Supplies in the warehouses from any damage or tamper.
  • Print and process all records, reports and deliver them to the targeted facilities.
  • Verify that all reported data is being collected properly and according to reporting templates (indicator tracking/Data entry), M&E plans are followed, tools are used, and processes are correct.
  • Ensure report formats are used properly and all reports are submitted on time, followed up on, and finalized in a timely manner and support where issues arise to mentor and improve over time.
  • Support to general logistics related to the project activities. 
  • Assist in facilitation of regular trainings for HNWs to strengthen their skills in areas of health and nutrition service provision.
  • Coordinate with health facility managers, BFD health staff, and local health authorities            
  • Follow up supply distribution and consumption in comparison with reported cases managed. 
  • Ensure that the organization's policies and procedures are adhered to adequately throughout the project implementation.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

 

 

Health and Safety

  • The post holder must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities with due regard to
    the BFD policy, organization and arrangements for Health and Safety at
    Work.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

 

  • Degree or Diploma in Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, Pharmacy, or another related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of field-level work in health programs with NGOs or public health systems.
  • Fluency in Arabic required; basic English preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of health and nutrition policies, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital data collection tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and making decisions quickly and independently. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good organizational and time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.
