Duties and responsibilities: Job Summary: As the MEAL field lead for the Sudan Enhancing Community Resilience Project (Nutrition component), you will facilitate the achievement of project objectives through coordinating and reporting on all project activities and providing technical guidance and advice to staff and implementing partner(s) advancing Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. You will lead and ensure compliance with agency and donor MEAL requirements in the project for Nutrition component, including ensuring Environment and Social Safeguard Commitment (ESCP) plan monitoring requirements.
You will ensure that food and nutrition security indicators are effectively tracked in the field to support timely management decisions, and quality health data is routinely collected, analyzed and used. You will effectively implement monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) activities including baseline, midterm and final evaluation assessments; field monitoring for quality checking; ensure setting up the project’s Feedback, Complaint and Response Mechanism (Grievance Redressal Mechanism) and support the MEAL Manager and Project Director with data analysis, case studies and quarterly monitoring reporting. Your coordination and relationship management skills will ensure that the project for which you are responsible applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.

Basic Qualifications
MEAL Competencies Demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability in the following key competencies; MEAL in Design, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Learning, Analysis & Critical Thinking, Database, and can apply the competencies in new or complex situations. Guides other professionals.
Required Languages - Fluent written and spoken Arabic and professional level of written and spoken English required.
Travel- Position is based in the proposed locations (Red Sea, Northern State, River Nile) subject to Donor approval. Must be willing and able to travel up to 70% to project areas in East Sudan
