 Duties and responsibilities:

Job Summary: 

 

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the overall coordination of warehouse operations including the reception, storage, maintenance, and dispatch of nutrition commodities in line with CRS and donor World Bank regulations. Working under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Manager will ensure the integrity, safety, and accountability of commodities while maintaining high operational standards. S/he will manage warehouse staff, supervise casual laborers as needed, and play a critical role in verifying receipts from transporters and maintaining accurate records. 

 

Roles and Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Oversee and manage warehouse facilities, ensuring optimal layout, cleanliness, safety, and security of stored commodities in line with CRS and donor requirements. 
  • Coordinate and supervise receipt, inspection, storage, and dispatch of nutrition commodities, including verification of quantities and weight received from transport companies. 
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager, Transportation Officer, and service providers to ensure timely, accurate movement of goods per project schedules.
  • Implement and maintain strong inventory control systems and documentation, including stock ledgers, bin cards, waybills, and loss/damage reports. 
  • Supervise warehouse staff and casual laborers, fostering a positive and accountable work environment while ensuring compliance with safety and handling standards.
  • Provide regular reports on warehouse status, commodity movements, and inventory, and make recommendations for improvement to support effective project delivery. 
  • Ensure physical safeguarding and accountability of all commodities stored in the warehouse, conducting cycle counts and supporting full physical inventories as required. 

 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or other relevant degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience in inventory or warehouse management with progressive responsibility and preferably with an international organization. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of inventory management and control principles. 
  • Staff management experience and abilities that are conducive to a learning environment, including training experience. 
  • Proficient in MS Office package (Excel, Word). Experience with database management systems (e.g. MS Access) is a plus.

 

 

Required Languages - Fluency in Arabic and English. 

 

 Travel - Must be willing and able to travel between assigned hubs and distribution points up to 25%.
